Market View 21 January 2011

Wall Street ended in the red as "Stocks fell on
Thursday as lackluster tech and materials earnings
failed to live up to heightened expectations, threatening
to short-circuit a seven-week run.Declines were milder
than on Wednesday, when a sharp drop pulled the market
off two-year highs." Dow were down marginally 2 points,
S&P 500 fell 2 points and Nasdaq lost 21 points.

Yesterday, my watchlist were a pool of reds as the
market went in a selling mode. Some readers asked
whether the worst is yet to come. I replied them that
this is merely a profit-taking session on any excuse
that had just surfaced, and in this case, it is the
China inflationary worries and it may tighten its
monetary policy further. This is just like fried rice
being fried and fried again and again in as many times
until nothing to be fried anymore.
That is market for you.

If you are concern about Genting, the range that I
kept mentioned is still intact and that is 2.11-2.18-2.25
range, with breaking of either side signify a change of
mood, sentiment and direction of the stock.
It closed at 2.16 yesterday which I believe it will
re-test the resistance 2.18 more than the downside
support at 2.11

Yesterday, the 2 stocks that I mentioned for the past
2 days were somehow in the green. United Envirotech
were in the green or neutral for most of the day until
the final hour of the day when it succumbed to selling
pressure. Dukang was mentioned in yesterday's blog
and its trading was halt at mid-day pending announcement.
The news was that its listing on the Taiwan exchange
was approved and they are doing the book-building now.
I can only say that this is a good fundamental news
announced on a wrong timing. How will the stock fare
now? I believe it will still do fine but let's see how
the market react to it at such time.

Market View 20 January 2011

Wall Street suffered its worst drop in 2 months as
"The S&P 500 suffered its biggest decline in nearly
two months on Wednesday as disappointing results
from Goldman Sachs and Wells Fargo put a damper
on the rally. The Nasdaq fell more than 1 percent,
its biggest daily percentage loss since November 16,
as more disappointment in earnings came from chipmaker
Cree Inc. Its stock tumbled 14.5 percent to $53.63."
Dow fell 13 points, S&P 500 dropped 13 points and
Nasdaq lost 40 points.

Yesterday's market actions were concentrated in just
a couple of stocks with Genting surging to 2.22 but
closed at 2.19 Some readers told me that they are
already parked in this stock in anticipation of the
CNY rally and the amount of money that will be spent
in the casino during the CNY period. I have to tell
them that this looks like a risk-justified trade but one
still need to have a cut-loss level should anything
drastic happened to the stock regardless how low
the chances will be.

Looking at the palm oil stocks react yesterday, I can
only say that they are on the buying form again.
Golden Agri need to break the 78cts resistance to
have another shot at the 80s which I believe will
be done. First Resources is back in the 1.60s and
will have good support at the 1.57 level with upside
initial target at 1.65 Some readers always want to buy
the laggard like Global Palm and Kencana but they
will only move when their bigger brother lead the way.

There is a stock that I particularly like from what I see
from its stock chart and it is Dukang. For those who has
access to its chart, I see that it will be breaking the
52-week and historical high of 93.5cts and how high it
will go is anyone's guess, but I believe the profit will
be very rewarding.

Market View 19 January 2011

Wall Street closed in the green after "Stocks finished
modestly higher Tuesday as buying interest in the
capital goods and materials sectors outweighed an
earnings miss from Citigroup and concerns about
the health of Apple CEO Steve Jobs.
Dow up 51 points, S&P 500 rose 2 points and
Nasdaq advanced 11 points.

Yesterday afternoon, there were signs of profit-taking
in the many pennies that has risen high recently.
We saw Sinograndness hitting a day-low of 54.5cts
before closing at 55cts. If you have read my blog last
week, my target for the stock is 56cts and I just missed
by a single bid as the recent high was only 56.5cts
I know a few Skype members sold the stock around this
price range and the profits was rewarding. It may start
to consolidate to form a base before staging another
surge. This is a stock that I believe has the potential to
reach the 60s but it will be in the next round of pump-up.

The palm oil counters were mixed yesterday with First
Resources leading the lackluster rest of the sector's stock.
I still believe that their surge is  not over. Watch for
the leader in Indoagri, Golden Agri and First Resources
while Global Palm and Kencana are just followers.

If you are looking for a potential explosive move stock,
I believe United Envirotech is a good choice.
Don't ask me whether it will move the same way as
Sinograndness, but looking at the chart, I am quite
optimistic on this stock

500th Post of the blog! Pop the Champagne!

Incredible! Wonderful!
I was about to start writing today when I realised
that it is the 500th post of this blog. It really have
been a long time since I started the blog in October
2008. From writing and "talking" to the wall in
the first few months, I can confidently say that I
have some hard core supporters and fans who tune
in to this blog every morning without fail.
Thank you for your support and I will continue to
write this blog as along as I am still in good relationship
with Mr Market.

Yesterday afternoon, William "suddenly" Skyped me
and told me that he won about $2k with Sinograndness
from 46.5cts to 56cts and the money will come in
handy for his baby girl due soon, and he wrote a comment
on the blog too. He also stated that he don't even know
of such a stock if not for my recommendation.
It had been a good ride on the stock and it indeed had
hit my target price of 56cts while hitting a day-high of
56.5cts Will it continue to surge to the 60s?
I can only comment that it may still continue to go up
but the chances of it having a needed profit-taking
retracement are much higher than upside gains.
Enjoy the early red packet from Cai Shen.

I will continue to update this space for the result
announcing date which was not up yesterday.

Market View 17 January 2011

We are just about 2 weeks away from the CNY
and welcoming the Golden Rabbit for a year.
I got asked many times whether there will be a
CNY rally starting soon all the way to the actual
or even pass the the CNY? To me, I don't see any
big drastic event happening that will impact the
stock market as a whole but when the stock had
risen for some time, it is normal to have a profit
taking session. We should still have good trading
days this 2 weeks, in my opinion.

I received quite a handful of emails and Skype on
Sinograndness. Many made profits from the stock
but "strangely" none really benefited from the stock
entirely. Most sold off the stock too early or taken the
money when the stock had just started to surge and
regretted the decision once its momentum picks up.
The stock had risen about 20% since I started
recommending the stock, but has the upside ended?
I don't see the stock's momentum falling and had
an initial target of 56cts for the stock this time round
as mentioned a few blog posts earlier. The stock hit
55cts day high last Friday and I just believe it is going
to hit my price soon.

Genting is still stucked within the mentioned range
so I will not comment much. Watch out for the palm
oil counters as I believe they still have "fuel" left to launch
the surge anytime.

P.S: A reader commented on how he can know the result
announcing date of the listed companies. I will put out the
result date that I know of in the blog today. It does not
cover all the stocks but this is what I gathered from sources.
Sometimes, it is not that I don't respond to the comments
but I am rather hand-tied in a while.
