Market View 10 June 2011

Wall Street broke a six-day losing streak to close
in the green in overnight trade, so is this going to
bring cheers to our market today?
Actually, I believe it will have an impact in the
market opening but as usual the main focus will
still be on selective stocks only and not a full-scale
run-up.

A few stocks that I mentioned recently is in the
limelight, with Hu An Cable announcing bonus issue
date and the listing of more shares in Taiwan.
This is a good news in my view and is likely to propel
the stock toward the 43.5cts 52-week high in due time.
Sinograndness continues to surge yesterday and
as I was saying, as long as it is above 46 and 49cts,
it will make a run toward the 53cts resistance.
First Resources surged to a close of 1.47 up 3cts
yesterday, and it is looking heading toward filling
up the gap left in January.

It is afterall a Friday and profit-taking may surfaced
in stocks that had a good run lately, and if you not interested

Nothing really much to contribute to the blog
today as all that I can say have been put into
writing in the recent blog entries.
I am still cautiously bullish about the market
despite all the noises from the Uncle Sam and
Mr Bernanke.

Market View 8 June 2011

It was an exciting trading session yesterday with
many stocks rebounded with good volume.
Genting was impressive in doing a reversal after
falling down the support level of 1.97 and hitting a
day-low of 1.93 The share eventually closed at 1.99
after hitting a day-high of $2. Like what I have mentioned
before, it need to sit tightly above the 1.97 level,
if not it will face the next support at 1.90

For those who are interested in some pick-ups,
we have Sinograndness on a good run but it will
face stern test at 49cts level and a breakout above
it will see it facing the 53cts next. It need to stay above
46cts for the momentum to continues, or else its recent
trend will be negated.

Some other stocks that I am interested in is STX OSV
which is likely to be my star-performer in providing "indecent"
returns for the mid-long run. A 50% return from its
current price is an understatement in my opinion but
this is purely my view. Immediate resistance will be
faced at 1.25 and the next meaningful resistance is around
the 1.30 region and the 52-week high of 1.36 is only
a mere stone-throw away.

I like the fundamental of both Ezra and Ezion but as I was
saying yesterday, Ezra die-die need to stay above the 1.51
level and if it can stay above 1.57, it is definitely much better.
Ezion need to stay above 68cts then only will be a more
comfortable selection for the market watchers.

Market View 7 June 2011

Some readers commented to me that there is
nothing to see in the market right now, as most
stocks are red and there isn't many trading opportunities.
I have to repeat myself that it is exactly at such
time that a trader/investor must stick to the screen
as there will be a chance to grab bargains. I believe
that the readers are entitled to their own view so
to each his own.

Genting broke below the 1.97 support to a day-low
of 1.95 but managed to close exactly on the support
level. The next meaningful support will be at 1.90
I will mention about Ezra today purely based on
the chart reading. Simply, Ezra will be bearish if it
break the 1.51 major support as it may then fall to
about 1.45 There is no doubt about its fundamental
but at this juncture, it is facing a "crisis".

Market View 6 June 2011

I will keep it short for this market view today.
It was reported in the Straits Times that there maybe
silver lining in Wall Street weakness as sophisticated
investor and hedge funds searching for better returns
will find the regional markets attractive. I believe this
is a very likely scenario as seen in our market reactions
to the indexes fall in the US. For today's market action,
I expect a "snake-head-tiger-tail" ending. Stocks will
be weaker at the opening bell but will move steadily
toward the market close.

For those readers who asked me about Genting, my view
is still the same as it is still within in 1.97-2.04 range
and a break of either will signify the trend and momentum
change, and the trading should follows.
Some readers may still remembered that I mentioned a
stock call Hu An Cable, and the stock have been moving
slow and steady toward the 41cts resistance and the major
resistance at 52-week high 43.5cts

There are a few stocks below or near to the $1 mark that
I am very interested and they are as follow:
1. Metro
2. Mewah
3. PEC
4. Hi-P
5. Amtek
I believe they are definitely >$1 stocks and any weakness
below the $1 is a good buy with a 6-month investment horizon.
