Market View 28 January 2011

On Wednesday, I wrote in blog "In such a sentiment-focus
state, I really got nothing more to say but Grab those bargains
available as I don't believe this selldown will last long.
As simple as that and nothing further to say."
And indeed I have nothing to say yesterday so I never
gave any Market View and my Skype was virtually down
for the last 2 days, which had happened before.
My view currently is that I am still a net Buyer at this stage and
I believe I will be rewarded with such action.

I am buying with a short-mid term view and it is concentrated
on a handful of stocks only, mainly the Palm counters, Genting,
O&M a few tech counters. But I do still maintain that I still
set cut-loss and trailing stops with each stock. The stocks
need to be well contained and I am not concern if it is showing
little movement in price range now as long as I know that
when the wind comes, it will surely move vigorously with it.

Market View 26 January 2011

Wall Street closed mixed but little change as "U.S.
stocks overcame early disappointment over earnings
and a drop in home prices to finish little changed on
Tuesday as investors awaited the Federal Reserve’s
statement on monetary policy during the next trading session."

Last few trading days had been rather exciting with
many sell-down in as many stocks. I take it to be a
final chance for the Tiger to showoff its prowess
before the Rabbit take over. I told many Skype members
that it is a sentiment-driven profit-taking selldown and
it got nothing to do with the fundamental of individual
stock as a whole. In such a sentiment-focus state,
I really got nothing more to say but Grab those bargains
available as I don't believe this selldown will last long.
As simple as that and nothing further to say.

Market View 25 January 2011

Wall Street surged in overnight trade as "Th
Dow Jones Industrial Average finished within
striking distance of 12,000 Monday, fueled by a rally
in materials stocks on dollar weakness and a bounce
in tech following Intel's dividend and buyback
announcement." Dow surged 109 points, S&P 500
gained 7 points and Nasdaq advanced 28 points.

Yesterday's market was rather listless and quiet
for most stocks and most of the trading day.
It is interesting how I managed to keep my eyes
open for the whole day. We can expect a better
opening this morning but the issue is whether the
momentum will continues throughout the day
or will it fade away in the afternoon.

Genting hit the 2.18 resistance wall again yesterday
and got hit real bad as it reversed and closed at 2.12
just a single bid away from the major support of 2.11
I believe there will be a intense tug-of-war around
the price region but the support should hold. Even
if it is breached, it will only be temporary and the
supporting cavaliers will be in to grab the bargain.
Take note that this is my personal view on the stock
based on my understanding and experience with it.

Many stocks have corrected to a reasonable support
zone and should this great sales continue, I believe
the buying will accelerate and snapping up the bargains.
The palm oil stocks are steadily gaining ground and
they should be watch in such a time and sentiment.

Market View 24 January 2011

A final full trading week to the CNY-shorten
next week which we welcome the Golden Rabbit
year with great hope and anticipation. Some readers
asked me whether there will be a CNY-rally this year.
If there is one, then it must start from this week
and last till the CNY-eve and beyond. I am still
quite optimistic and confident that we are going
to have a decent rally this week and the next.

Genting made an effort to break the 2.18 resistance
last Friday, but still can't overcome the resisting
forces and closed at 2.15 for the week. It is in
the 2.11-2.18 region now and I believe it should make
effort to re-test the resistance again and again
and should it successfully breaching it, the next
resistance is at 2.25

A few readers were in the stocks that I mentioned
last week, Dukang and United Envirotech. I have to say
that although I still believe Dukang will break the
historical high 93.5cts, it is wise to have a ready cut-loss
level in place. Dukang hit a high of 93cts last Friday but
closed at 91.5cts due to last hour selling pressure.
I expect it to surge again on a attempt to create new
high and move toward the $1 psychological level.
United Envirotech's volume had dropped in the
last few trading session although its movement was
very well contained and supported. Watch for increasing
volume preceding the imminent buying that follows.
