Market View 29 May 2009

Yipee!!!! Yahoo!!!!
The Great Singapore Sales starts today, and
there will be so many bargains and wonderful
products to get!
(I am just voicing out what my wife, mother,
woman friends are thinking. :-)
To me, it will be even better if the GSS can
flow to our market, and we can have a great
trading time for the next few months.

In last few days of trading, I noticed that there
are continual rotational play in our market.
Offshore marine stocks are now passe, and the
most recent theme is Property and Construction
counters. We have seen this sector jumping up,
and is still much in the play yesterday.
We can also see a handful of super-pennies,
those that are below 10cts in the Top Volume.
Rotational interest is healthy, but not when I start
see these micro-pennies in the Top Volume,
and the speculative mood is so rampant.

At this stage, I will be pretty cautious, as it is
looking more clear that an imminent sell-off
and sell-down is in the pipeline. This is only my
personal view but it is looking more to be so.

I will still be trading the market, but on a more
careful mood, and only trade those still Hot
stocks with a tight trailing stop.
Follow the Flow, but expect the Unexpected.
Concentrate on the GREEN ( if available, but prepared)
Hot stocks:Ezra, KS Tech, Cosco, YZJ, Straits Asia,
Indo Agri,Noble, NOL, Olam, SembMarine, Yanlord &
Uniasia, Raffles Edu,Midas, Swiber, Swissco.

As usual, enter a position will a Trailing Stop,
and Please practice strict (Risk)Money-management.
If you don't like what you see in the market,
simply don't trade.

Market View 28 May 2009

It is so interesting watching Uncle Sam blowing
hot and cold any other day. On one day, it was
up by 190 points, and the next it almost erased
all the gain and drop 170 points.
I like such a drastic and erratically irrational volatility
and movement from Uncle Sam. A pity that I
don't see such action being showed in our local
market, it is more predictable and expected,
and anomalises do exists, but they are also
explainable and can be tracked from the charts.

Some readers asked me that is it "normal" for a stock
to go up like 100%, even 500% in about 2 weeks of trading.
I can sense the "sourness" in asking such question from far,
and I believe that the readers must be watching the amazing
show from the sideline and itching to enter the stock,
but stopped as it is an "abnormal" occurance, or only
managed to earn a tiny profit from what can be eventual
gigantic gain.

It is perfectly "normal" for a stock to go up exponentially
or in a straight line when Greed is in the driving seat,
but like all all things, the momentum will run out,
the bubble will burst, and gravity will
take the stage, and we are likely to see a spectacular
sell-off and sell-down. That is when Fear takes over the
controlling power. If you like further reading, google
South Sea Bubble & Tulipmania, the 2 old-time bubble
stories.

There is no "normal" or "abnormal" stocks, but it is
the so-called "Invisibe Hand" behind the stock that
is pushing the stock. It may be fundamental news
being leaked-out, or rotational renew interest in
various sector, or just plainly speculative pump-and-dump
being carried by shrewd and well-informed players.
Their action will be reflected on the chart, and
if you are trained, you should be able to pick-up their
traces, and following the strong hand's play is all
but yet another trading method that works.
But (I know you may see this coming) in any
trades, have a cut-loss level, and then a trailing stop,
and just enjoy the surge of a few folds.
I believe many readers should be having well over
100% in investment gain, and maybe also trading profits
over the last 2 months of strong action.

As usual, most hot stocks should start the day on a low
note, but like what I always said, if you don't like it,
simply stay out, and watch the show from the sideline
but observe any green shoots growing from the pool of
reds, and that maybe the play for today.
In the last few same scenario that our market put up,
strong support will arise when the stocks have drop
or slide to an attractive level, and we will see snap-up
and grab-up take over. We just may have the same scenario
today. Observe and be Alert.

Follow the Flow, but expect the Unexpected.
Concentrate on the GREEN ( if available, but prepared)

Market View 27 May 2009

US market jumped with a surprisingly
good consumer confidence figure in 8 months,
and the upgrade of Apple Computer also
bring up Nasdaq by 3%.

So, any surprises for our local market?
No prize given for guessing our market and
Hot stocks will "automatically" open high.
The main issue whether it will continue to go
higher, or weaken by mid-day, and close way
off day-high. Or will they really be a surprise
waiting at the dark side from North Korea's
missile launches?

With that note, I will proceed with the trading
with caution, but also aware that there will be
some Hot stocks that will continue to charge up
for the whole day. I will stick to the Monday's
Hot stocks for most of the time: Oil, Offshore Marine &
Commodities stocks, more than enough for a decent
profit today.

Follow the Flow, but expect the Unexpected.
Concentrate on the GREEN (available, but prepared)
Hot stocks:Ezra, KS Tech, Cosco, YZJ, Straits Asia,
Indo Agri,Noble, NOL, Olam, SembMarine, Yanlord &
Uniasia,Raffles Edu, Midas, Swiber, Swissco.
Why everytime the same stocks in my list?
Very simple...because they are the winners,
and I know their trading pattern since I have
been with them using my trading system for
a long time.

As usual, enter a position will a Trailing Stop,
and Please practice strict (Risk)Money-management.

Market View 26 May 2009

As mentioned in my blog yesterday, oil, offshore &
marine and commodities stocks stage a good rally
and I believe many readers should have benefited
greatly from yesterday session.

I will keep this posting short today, as the momentum
is likely to be continued, but profit-taking will
be along the way too.
Just stick to the GREEN stocks, and you should
be fine.

Follow the Flow, but expect the Unexpected.
Concentrate on the GREEN (available, but prepared)
Hot stocks:Ezra, KS Tech, Cosco, YZJ, Straits Asia,
Indo Agri, Noble,NOL, Olam, SembMarine, Yanlord &
Uniasia, Raffles Edu,Midas, Swiber, Swissco.
The above stocks have again and again proven to
be the market leaders in term of surge range and
volatility, and will remain so for a long time.

As usual, enter a position will a Trailing Stop,
and Please practice strict (Risk)Money-management.
If you don't like what you see in the market,
simply don't trade.

Market View 25 May 2009

Quite a few news came out over the weekend,
and the most noticable one is of course, the
sales of 45.5% in SPC by Keppel to PetroChina,
this is likely to have ripple effect on the Offshore &
Marine stocks.

Seriously, I don't really understand the need to
sell SPC by Keppel, in order to enable working
"together with PetroChina (it plans) to explore
opportunities in the offshore oil industry and in
other areas." I will take this move to be purely
business relationship building on top of strategic
asset. I maybe wrong, but SPC will be an great future
huge asset for PetroChina if the whole deal goes through.
Good Move, PC! Bad Move , KE!

Ok, back to the market.
US is on holiday today, so no US trading tonight.
Last Friday, our market stage a late surge to
close near the high, but Uncle Sam disappointed
reversal from green to close at red should have an
impact on our market this morning opening.
This week, we have a few important data figure,
like GDP for Q1, CPI, coming out of US, and they will
be well followed by the market.

Other than oil, offshore and marine and commodities stocks,
the rest of the Hot stocks maybe weaker today.
But it can be also a day when the cat is away, the mice
come out and play.
Some profit-taking selling may surface, so still be cautious
but alert to any green trading opportunities,
Enter the green Hot stocks.
