Today is the last trading day of the first-half
of the year and the last day to do any window
dressing for the funds and institutions. It is very
likely that we will see a rather volatile and drastic
trading day with wild swings like yesterday.
In overnight trade, Dow recovered from a loss
of near to 180 points to close only down slightly
25 points. This is the type of market action that
we see in recent days and we can expect to see
such happening very often as the market is driven
by swinging sentiment and uncertainties with
any news a potential catalyst or a dampener.
Stick with the stronger stocks and don't touch those
weaker ones like those hitting 52-weeks low or
hovering about that level.

If you don't like what you see in the market,
simply don't trade.

Yesterday I mentioned to keep track and monitor
the palm oil counters and it turned out to be a
very good trading days for the Felda IPO peers.
We have First Resources surging through the
roof, and recent IPO Bumitama finally woke up
and Indo Agri's late ran yesterday afternoon.
It was quite a good run and I wondered how many
readers benefited greatly from it. Felda Global will
debut in Malaysia and will that have any spillover
effect again today? I can only say that keep tracking
them and add-up if there is any opportunities.
We should continue to see good trading volume and
momentum continuing for the last 2 trading days
for the mid-year window dressing period. Stick with
the strong stocks and not those technically weak
counters that I highlighted recently.

I will talk a bit on the palm oil counters in today's
blog. Some of us may know that Felda Global
will list in Malaysia tomorrow, in what will be the
world's second-largest IPO this year. We can see
that some of our local listed peers have already
started to pre-move before the anticipated listing.
Golden Agri and surprising Mewah were in the
Top Volume yesterday, and First Resources even
surged 7.5cts on a comparable low volume.
Other palm oil counters like Indo Agri and the
recently listed Bumitama did not really participate
in the pre-move. I am not saying that our local listed
peers will definitely surge with the debut of Felda,
but it is worth monitoring them for any trade potentials.
Next focus will be on Olam. The counter did well
yesterday but once again, hit the resistance and
day-high of 1.88 and closed at 1.875 As what I
stated in the blog before, as long as the 183-184
support is not taken out, it will test and re-test the
1.88-1.89 resistance again and again, and I just
have a feeling that it will be broken soon enough.
A few readers asked about the former market
darling, Genting, in emails and Skype messages.
I have to say that it is very risky touching the stock
now as it had just set a new 52-week LOW last Friday.
Any gains currently will be seen as just a rebound
and I will only look at it when it has at least taken out
the 1.45-1.46 resistance. This was my favourite trading
stock for quite a very long time but it has since fallen
from grace. Although I believe we will seen the last
of the counter, but I will say, give the stock a break and
it will be back with a vengeance.

It is quite interesting to hear the CNA presenter
stated that US market suffered a heavy losses
when Dow was only down about 138 points or
1.1%. So last Thursday 250 drop will be a disaster
and end-of-the-world happening? At this juncture,
wild swing in the market is expected as news from
the Euro, China and even domestic news within
will determine the market movement but it may be
a very short-term movement and all will be fine
in a couple of days or even the next day.
Stocks are expected to open weaker today but I
see a much stronger closing as the day progresses.
Stick to the greens in the pool of reds as what we can
saw yesterday in Ezra, Indo Agri, YZJ....

Market View 25 June 2012
This is the last trading week of the first-half
of the year and is also the end of Q2 2012.
I believe that many readers will be wondering
whether there will be a mid-year window-dressing
done by the funds and institutions this coming
5 days? To say the truth, I expect and believe that
there will be such action and occurrence this
trading week, but I don't think it will be a continuous
5 days of surges. Market action will get increasingly
intense toward the end of the week but I still
believe we should be able to see a glamorous closing
on Friday.
Ok, I received several emails asking me about The
Three Musketeers, namely Olam, Noble and Sakari.
I mentioned on last Friday's blog that there will be
"market-making opportunities that is presented
to you on a golden plate.", and I wondered how many
readers indeed taken the succulent fruits on the
golden plate and make a good profits out of the
three stocks last Friday.
As per what I stated, Olam stopped at the resistance
of 1.88-1.89 and closed at 1.885 My view is that it will
have strong upside as long as the support level at
1.83-1.84 is not taken out. The next meaningful resistance
is at the 1.96-1.97 level
Sakari closed strongly last Friday after suffering early
losses and it may jolly well be a reversal day for the stock
but it need to have continuous inflow of increasing
volume. Next resistance is at the 139-140 level.
Noble is currently the weakest of the three and it need
to break the 1.13 resistance with good strength for any
future upside.
Some other stocks based on the chart formation that I
like include Ezion (resistance at 96-97cts), Biosensors
(1.18), STX OSV (1.56-1.57) and Yanlord (1.185).
If you need any timely advice or my personal view,
send me a Skype message and we can discuss from there.
