No Market View today but I got something to say

Hi blog readers, there will not be any Market View
today since I will be on holiday next week and I
don't want to tell you to buy/sell then I myself go
missing for the next 2 weeks. But those 90s stocks
that I recommended this week have performed really
well and hit the $1 within days, for the like of PEC,
CSE, Swiber.... did you profited from them?

Anyway, I have received numerous questions from
email and skype on how exactly to trade in the
market and profited from it. I am a believer of
before you can Earn, you need to Learn, so I will
recommend some books for the readers to read
and hopefully they will have better and clearer
understanding of Mr Market.

For a start, our own National Library has many
many books on stock investing, trading, speculating
and those boringly useless financial theory books.
If you are free and willing to improve your knowledge
on Mr Market, then please pay Mr Library many visits.
You will benefit greatly from it.

I would recommend the readers to read up a book
by a local author who is a senior trading representative
titled "Why Am I Always Losing In The Stock Market".
Don't tell me that you simply have no time to read any
books as you can finish this book within 2 hours or less.
Read it a few times if you want, and read it again.

Another few books that you may be interested are
Nicolas Darvas' "How I Made $2 Million In The
Stock Market". It is another thin book that can be
completed in 2 hours.
William O'Neal's "How To Make Money In Stocks"
and his other publications are also good read but it will
take you longer to read them.
Alexander Elder, Warren Buffett, Larry William,
Ari Kiev and even George Soros' books are worthy read
as well, and if possible, read as much as possible, and grab
the gists and essences of each books and when you have
read well enough, you will see  repeating patterns and that is
when you know you are on your way......

Oh ya, by the way, if you think only the Americans or
the British know how to trade the market, then you
are pretty outdated and bias. The Chinese from China,
HK, Taiwan know Mr Market equally well, if not better,
so if you do understand Chinese language, read the books
too and I am sure that you will change your view completely.

I read a lots of books and publications on stock market
and trading methodologies, style and "secret" in search
of the "Holy Grail", and I only realised there isn't such
thing after numerous trial and error practical sessions
with Mr Market. To me alone, I know what is simply
rubbish and bullshit in some of the books and what
works in the market. Trend following/reversal, Support/Resistance,
Trading patterns, Volume analysis and Reversal play works,
and Indicators analysis simply don't. I am an advocate/supporter
of the KISS principle, and trading is actually quite straight-forward
and simple if you cut away the perception that you need to have
a business degree and using astronomical complex mathematics
formulae or methods to win in the market. Just KISS will do.

If you have been in the market for long, and have sparred
enough encounters with  Mr Market for long, I am sure you
will agree with me. But I welcome any differing views and
comments and  you are welcome to post them as comment
on the blog or email me if you preferred. We can discuss it further.

Over several conversations last few days, some readers
asked me whether I know that the market is going
for a tailspin during my holiday. I have a great laugh and
tell them that if I knew such thing will happen then
I will be richer than Buffett and Soros. Hehe...
If the market really goes down during my absence
then it is purely coincidental and unpredictable although
there are several signs that the 4th quarter is going to
be rough and drastic and anything and everything may
well happen.

Ok, I will leave it here for today. I may post one
or two more at the blog before I head off to the
holiday.

Market View 8 September 2010

Wall Street fell in overnight trade as
"stocks fell in very light volume on Tuesday as
investors seized on renewed concerns about
European banks as a reason to sell shares after
strong gains last week. Banks, energy companies
and chipmakers were the biggest decliners.
Some analysts said the drop after Wall Street's
best week in the past two months shows the market
is likely to remain range-bound."
In my own view, I feel that the chances of Dow fall
below 10000 again is very high, and it is a matter
of when and not whether it will happen.

Genting surged high yesterday and it is looking
to test recent high and resistance 1.83 with the
next resistance standing at 1.89. It will be well
supported at 1.76
Sound Global as expected hit the resistance
73.5cts with force but still unable to break it.
It will run wild after breaking this resistance
with 77cts in sight and supported at 70cts.

The volume with many stocks have been
pretty low these days and if you want to
trade, it will be wise to stick to those in
the play-up and with volume and momentum
backing it up with power.

Market View 7 September 2010

Wall Street is on Labour Day holiday so there
is no trading and hence no US market view.

When the cat is away, the mice will play.
Yesterday the local market surged higher
on last Friday's Wall Street surge and because
the US market was closed yesterday.

Genting tried to make a breakout to the upside
but was stopped by the resistance and was
back to square one by day-close. Look like
it will be doing cha-cha for a while.

But other stocks that I recommended made the
move and CSE hit a high of 1.01 and closed at
$1. Further upside after breaking yesterday
day-high of 1.01 will be the resistance level
at 1.06 and will be supported at 97cts.
Swiber also made the move and closed at
1.02 up 3 cts with further upside seen
at 1.07

Sound Global is looking strong and it will
only get stronger after taking out the resistance
at 73.5cts with good volume. Longcheer and
PEC need further volume to confirm the upward
move.

Market View 6 September 2010

Wall Street started the September month well
with the 3 major indexes surging high more than
1% on Friday trading. Dow up 128 points,
S&P 500 surged 14 points and Nasdaq advanced
34 points. I wonder for how long is the rosy
picture going to continue?

Genting is still stuck within the trading range
and I await a breakout of either side, but don't ask
me when will it happen. It will, but on which side?
Nothing more to say about the market on
this Monday morning, as the trading is concentrating
on a few stocks like CSE, PEC, Swiber and
Sound Global (if it decide to wake up this week)
This is going to be a holiday-shorten trading week
as we celebrate Hari Raya Puasa this Friday,
and I will be going to a holiday on Saturday,
so it will be cautiously light buffet for me this week.
