Market View 13 March 2009

Ok, so today is Friday the 13th, so will
anything untoward happen to our
local market and Uncle Sam tonight?

Given Uncle Sam's triple digit jump,
we are almost surely to open high,
but today is friday, so the momentum
may not last till the final bell rings.

I will be adding Raffles Education to my Hot
stocks list from now. It did a clear-cut text-book
reversal based on yesterday's action, so
it will be in close-watch now.
The rest of my target are Olam, Straits Asia & Noble
as the preferred objectives, while keeping a watchful
eye on Yanlord, SembMarine, Cosco and NOL.
Yanlord will be out of the STI on 23 March, so it will be
volatile from now till then.

If you are not interested to trade or stay in the
market today, then you can call it a day,
and head down to the IT show at Suntec City,
to look at and get the latest tech gadgets.

If you are looking for something to read,
then you might be interested to know that

Market View 12 March 2009

Another day of trading,
and it is looking like another
day of minor movement in our
local market.

Stocks are likely to to open weaker,
as there are no clear signs now.
Some supports will come into a selected
of stocks, but I will be cautious today.
I am fighting guerilla warefare today,
and will be entering light on the Hot stocks
when the support do come.

I am still targetting Olam, Straits Asia & Noble
as the main objectives, while keeping a watchful
eye on Yanlord, SembMarine, Cosco and NOL.
It is looking to be a quiet trading day, but I am
glad to be proven wrong as that will mean
more trading opportunities.

As usual, enter a position will a Trailing Stop,
and Please practice strict money-management.
If you don't like what you see in the market,
simply don't trade.

Market View 11 March 2009

Ok, so Dow surge up 380 points,
and Citigroup is said to be in
profits in the first 2 months of 2009,
and once-mighty NOL dropped to only
0.935 yesterday, so how will Merlion
react today?

Yes, we need news, and Good news
if it matters, and Many Good news
to overturn the whole lousy situation.
It is coming, alas gradually but surely.
We are not totally out of the wood yet,
but we can see a clear path, and
if we keep on following the North Star,
we should see the Bright Light soon....

Now, most stocks will jump up today, as per
normal, but not that many will sustain
it till the end. Today is not a day to be
a Hero and throw caution to the wind,
and only a selected few will continue the
surge today.

I am targetting Olam, Straits Asia & Noble
as the main objectives, while keeping a watchful
eye on Yanlord, SembMarine, Cosco and NOL.
So who will be the next victim to fall like NOL
down the $1 drain, can it be Olam & Noble?
Anything is possible, but it will required a
great "effort" and dreadful event or news
to make such a powerful impact.

As usual, enter a position will a Trailing Stop,
and Please practice strict money-management.
If you don't like what you see in the market,
simply don't trade.

Market View 10 March 2009

Ok, so the STI is at a 6 years low,
and Nikkei at 26 years low and
Mr Obama is in office for 50 days,
so am I giving 4-D winning numbers
for tomorrow??
Maybe, buy at your own dollar.
:-)

In my view, we are very near to the
end of all these misery, but all that we
lack or rather need now is Confidence!
Market Confidence, Investor Confidence,
Consumer Confidence, Common-People-On
-The-Street Confidence.
Confidence in the "system" had been eroded,
and it will take some time for it tofully recovered,
but it is doing so slowlybut surely.

Ok, back to our home ground now.
I am a trader, and that means that regardless
of the market sentiment or conditions,
there are bound to have trading opportunites
in the market, differentiated by the amount
of risk involved.

Most of the time, I only trade the Hot stocks
which will be actively transacted every single
day, and it will be volatile and liquid enough
to gain from it. I like to only stick with a
couple of them, as it is essential to just
concentrate the ammunitions to full power
and not disperse it all around.

Sometime I will fight a guerilla battle when
the signal is unclear, and the risk is high.
At other time, I will launch a full-scale attack
on the Hot stocks like Today.

Stocks are likely to open weak, but I believe
support will come in, and we should have
a field-day today. Stick with the Hot stocks:
Yanlord, Noble,Olam, Straits Asia, Cosco,
SembMarine, NOL.
I will be paying more attention to Straits, Noble
and Olam today, but the rest will still be watched.

As usual, enter a position will a Trailing Stop,
and Please practice strict money-management.
If you don't like what you see in the market,
simply don't trade.

Market View 9 March 2009

It is a new trading week, and
it is also looking very likely
to be a great profit week from what
I see from the Hot stocks' chart.

I am late in posting today due to problem
in Blogger that was just resolved, but
I normally will not be posting so late,
and the market view should be available
before the opening bell rings.

I shall keep the market view sweet and
sharp today. Another detailed market view
will be discussed tomorrow.

Stick with the Hot stocks: Yanlord, Noble,
Olam, Straits Asia, Cosco, SembMarine, NOL.
As much as I wanted Olam to drop below $1
again, it is getting more difficult to for it
to drop so drastically unless something
siginificant happened.
I was telling to a friend in Skype that
if Olam is below $1, then Noble will be
only about 80cts, and he agreed.

As usual, enter a position will a Trailing Stop,
and Please practice strict money-management.
If you don't like what you see in the market,
simply don't trade.
