I have nothing much to say in the Market View today
as it is almost the same stocks that I am targeting at
with Ausgroup the new inclusion. I like what I see in
its charts and will be very interesting when it is near
to its yesterday-high.

Market View 19 May 2011
We have a couple of local news popping up yesterday
and this morning. PM Lee announced a rather radical
change to his new Cabinet and while some were surprised
and shocked with the new line-up and the "retirement"
of some key-holders, I am not surprised in any way.
This is quite expected given what PM Lee said and
promised during his election campaign. Let's move on.
And in the news just out this morning, "The Ministry of Trade
and Industry said Thursday that the island-nation's economy
grew 22.5% in the January-March period compared with the
previous quarter, slower than the 23.5% on-quarter expansion
estimated last month.
From a year earlier, the economy expanded 8.3%, the revised
data showed, a tad slower than a prior estimate of 8.5%, and
the ministry said that for the whole of 2011 it now expects the
economy to expand 5.0% to 7.0% rather than the 4.0% to
6.0% estimated earlier."
Ok, back to making money from stocks...
I don't want to talk about Genting today as I have mentioned
it numerous time over the last few blog entries.
There are a couple of stocks that I am particularly interested
about and they are STX OSV, UMS, Ezion and Ezra.
UMS surged to a new 52-week high yesterday but unable to
close on a high and only managed to close 61.5cts.
I will be very interested when it is near to the recent high again.
From what I saw from the charts, STX OSV has the potential
to rise pass the recent high of 1.23 toward the next nearest
resistance at 1.28

Market View 18 May 2011
I will keep it simple today as my view on the current
market condition did not change much from what
I wrote on Monday before the public holiday break.
If you have a mid-term view and willing to hold the
stocks for a couple of months, this is precisely a good
opportunity to grab hold of some "cheap" bargains.
Although the "cheap" may get "cheaper" but there isn't
always a perfect time to buy, and I am not saying that
you should show hand now and put your entire fortune
into the market now. Start small and gradually add-up
when the volume and momentum picks up along the way.
For Genting again, it may test the 2.04 support level and
rebound or it may surge pass the 2.10 resistance which will
trigger my close attention when that happens.

Market View 16 May 2011
First and foremost, I wasn't able to write the Market View
last Friday due to Blogger doing some maintenance and
wasn't up throughout the whole morning. Some readers
may have saw the new outlook of the blog last Friday morning,
and guess what, after the Blogger maintenance, the blog was
reverted back to old black-red look. It seems that Blogger
is having some issues with those updates done last Thursday
night. Anyway, I will put the blog back to the new template
in the near term.
Ok, back to the market view.
It is most likely that today will be a rather quiet trading session
today with tomorrow's Vesak Day public holiday lingering in
the traders' mine coupled with the fall in the US market last
Friday. Some readers asked me whether now is a good time
to buy some bargain stocks that had fallen from grace.
I am still quite confident and bullish that the market will still
have a decent (indecent?) performance in the following
months leading to the grand finale in the 4th quarter.
It is time to pick stocks slowly throughout the month and
it is for those that are willing to hold them for the near-term.
For those asking about Genting, I can only re-iterate the
following important price for the stock: 2.04-2.10-2.18
