Market View 23 June 2010

Wall Street ended in the red again as "Stocks fell
more than 1 percent in yet another late-day selloff on
Tuesday as unexpectedly poor housing figures and the
puncture of a key technical level sapped buying interest.
Stocks marked time in a thinly traded session until the
S&P 500 fell through its 200-day moving average,
which had been a basis of support in the last few days."
Like what I said yesterday, "Personally,
I don't like to see reversal of such kind and it is looking
that the sentiment to continue for another day.",I wonder
will we see another reversal today?

As usual, most stocks will open weaker today, but
it will be a normal profit-taking session rather than a
mass sell-off session that I actually wanted. It is in a chaotic
market that bargains will be plentiful. If you are still holding
on to the winner stocks recently, then stick to the trailing
stops. Nothing much more to say but I will be particularly
interested in those green stocks today, and those who
are heavily sold-down, if any.

Market View 22 June 2010

Wall Street reversed from early gains as " Stocks
once again succumbed to late-day selling in light trading
on Monday as hopes China's newfound dedication to
yuan flexibility turned to doubts about the speed and
magnitude of Beijing's intentions." Dow lost 8 points
reversing from earlier 140 points gain, S&P 500 fell
4 points and Nasdaq gave up 20 points. Personally,
I don't like to see reversal of such kind and it is looking
that the sentiment to continue for another day.

I am sure most readers profited from yesterday's
so-called S-Chip rally, with the like of Cosco, YZJ,
Sound Global surging. I mentioned that "it will be rather
concentrated on the bigger and known S-chips and the
related stocks" and it was exactly what happened.
Other stocks like Genting, Mermaid, PEC, Swiber,
even CSE, Rotary also join in the fun, and it all
add-up to a good trading day.

Genting will continue to bounce around the mentioned
range. Sound Global, Rotary, CSE and CWT should
test the $1, and in my opinion, they are >$1 stock.
Global Palm hit the 37cts resistance, although the day-high
yesterday was 37.5cts, it should consolidate at 37cts,
with 40cts as the psychological and 43cts as the important
resistance level. Cosco, Mermaid, YZJ will likely take a
break to prepare for the next price action.

A reader asked me in email what is my view of the current
market surge. Frankly, I am still quite bearish about the
2nd half of the year, and I will not be surprise if a sudden
and swift massive selldown appears out of the blue.
I am always prepare to take money off the stocks with
trailing stops and cut-loss level, and you should do so as well.
Enjoy the surge while you can but always be prepared for
the unexpected circumstances.

Market View 21 June 2010

It is looking to be another great week ahead
after "China's surprise move over the weekend to
let its currency be more flexible should give stocks a lift,
adding to the recent positive momentum and making it
tougher for bears to argue for weaker fundamentals."

For our local side, I will not be surprise if I see a
S-chip rally, but it will be rather concentrated on the
bigger and known S-chips and the related stocks.
I continue to be bullish about the market during this
World Cup period, and it has proven to be rewarding
and profitable for myself and the readers who participate
in the recent run-up. The same old " "马照跑, 舞照跳,
球照踢, 股票照样升" still apply in the current market.

I will stick to the stocks that I kept mentioned. Don't ask me
why and whether there are others to look at. There are many
many more other stocks to trade, that is for sure, but these are
the stocks that I know will run-up in a good sentiment, and
always have the volume to back its momentum.

Genting will likely trade within the range of of 1.11-1.20 for the
time being, with any breach of 1.11 support level pushing toward
the next 1.05 point. Global Palm hit a single bid shy of my 37cts
target last friday, and it should be able to test it this week.
As long as Swiber is above 1.01 level, it will continue to surge
and I am quite bullish on it. Watch for Cosco, YZJ, Mermaid,
PEC, Broadway and Sound Global. If you are looking for more
speculative low-volume counters to watch, then Rotary, CWT
and CSE will suit you fine.
