Wall Street posted modest gains as "U.S. stocks
edged higher late in a choppy, thinly traded session
on Thursday as investors built on momentum gained
after the S&P 500 index broke through its 200-day
moving average earlier this week." Dow added 25 points,
S&P 500 gained 1 point and Nasdaq edged up 1 point.
If you have access to the intra-day and daily chart of
the US indexes, you will like the movement, but one
also have to aware of the low volume recently.
A readers skyped me an interesting question asking
why did the stocks go up and down, and how one can
profited from such movement. Actually, it is very normal
for a stock to go up and down aka the trend. After a good
surge, there will bound to be a correction or a profit-taking
selloff. The same will happen after a consolidation or a massive
sell-down, stocks will rebound.
Stocks can only move in 3 ways, up, down and sideways,
some people will compare this to the 1X2 betting from
Singapore Pools. A very interesting comparison.
If you follow a stock or some stocks movement closely,
you will have higher winning possibility, and that is what
I am doing. Take note that I don't win 100% of the trades,
I have my losing trades, but it is ok as long as my winning
trades and profits is more than the losses.
I am letting my positions run with the market at the moment
with a trailing stop and will seek to clear them in case
of weakness surface in the market.

Wall Street ended mixed as "Stocks finished flat
on Wednesday as cautious comments from FedEx
and weak housing market data overshadowed a surge
in industrial production. Dow gained 5 points, Nasdaq
edged up 0.05 points while S&P 500 was down marginally
0.62 points.
You know what, I got readers profited from the recent
surge from the winner stocks that I mentioned and
are still holding the stocks. I told them that the stocks
are going to hit resistance very soon, and I am expecting
a profit-taking correction.
Genting is likely to bounce around the 1.11 mark where
it look for the next move. Cosco, YZJ, Mermaid performed
very well, and it is just about right to take a break.
My trading style is that I will add positions into the winners
stocks but that is because I am already in-the-money,
and even if the stock or the market go south, I still have
winning earlier positions. I am looking to clear positions
today if they hit my stops, or else, I will just hold it over
to tomorrow, but I see that the market will be weak today.

I have some technical issues with Blogger today,
so I was unable to publish my blog on time.
It is likely you will see my blog after the market
has opened.
Wall Street rallied in overnight trade as "U.S. stocks
rallied more than 2 percent while the euro hit a two-week
high on Tuesday after successful debt sales by some of the
weakest euro-zone members and signs of growing demand
for personal computers boosted global appetite for risk.
The S&P 500 turned positive for the year and rose above its
200-day moving average for the first time in a month,
suggesting the recent downtrend may be nearing an end."
For the last few days of trading, I can only use the
classic phrase "马照跑, 舞照跳, 球照踢, 股票照样升"
to describe the market sentiment. For those who stay out
of the market because they feel that the market will
be a ghost-town, then they really 走宝了.
On 3th June, I wrote on the blog "Some members asked me
about the next support/resistance level of Genting.
98cts is a good support, and 1.05 the next resistance, and
ultimately 1.11 being the major resistance which I believe will be tested.
Get the hint?" Exactly, yesterday Genting hit the 1.11 resistance
and fell back to close at 1.09
Will it continue to go up? I can only say that it have the tendency to
consolidate first before staging another surge. The next resistance
lies at 1.15
Most readers should really benefited from the winners stocks
that I kept mentioning, Cosco, YZJ, Genting, Sound Global,
Mermaid, Swiber, even Broadway and Global Palm.
Am I right? Just have a trailing stop, and enjoy the good
mounting profits.
Ok, yesterday a reader left a comment "hey mr lobang,
i feel that it is better if you can just say out your feelings
about a particular stock more clearly. for example, you
should say the exact price to buy in and the exact price to
start to sell."
I can only say that the way that I wrote did benefited many
readers, and many have profited from my blog financially.
If you want the exact buy and sell price, I can't give you
that, as I am also a participant in the market and not the
Market itself, and I have my own trading methods and style
too which may not suit all readers. But I will encourage the
readers to talk to me on Skype where I can give more timely
comment to any questions asked.

Side Notes
I am sure many readers are aware that I used to send out
foreign brokerage reports to the members in my mailing list.
The last send-out was believed to be on February this year
and since then I have not done any mailing due to some
issues with Yahoo mail. I will resume the sending next week, and
if any reader is not in my list, kindly give me an email and
I will add you in.
Next, I wish to ask the readers and the general investing/trading
communities one question, " What is the SINGLE most disturbing/
important/critical question that you always want to ask regarding
making money from Mr Market?" It can be any type of question,
the 6 Ws, Who, Where, What, When, Why and How.
If you always have such a query or doubt, this is a good chance
to have it answered. I will collect and compile some questions
asked by the readers and answer it in my own experience and
knowledge, and in my always clear and simple language.
I am So Thick Skin!!
Seriously, the response to the "SINGLE question" is quite
weak, and I really hope to receive more.
Keep the emails coming in.....I am waiting...

Wall Street reversed in the last few trading
hours as " U.S. stocks ended little changed in
a low-volume session on Monday after a downgrade
of Greece's debt took the wind out of the market's sails.
Equities have been sensitive to debt problems in Greece
and other European nations in recent months on concerns
the euro zone's fiscal problems will hamper a global
economic recovery." Dow closed down 20 points,
S&P 500 lost 2 points while Nasdaq edged up 0.36 points.
Yesterday was the first trading after the World Cup started
on Friday, and frankly, the market action is still as vibrant
and lively although I have to admit that the volume was lower.
Nevertheless, I believe most readers should still made money
on a couple of stocks like Cosco, Swiber etc. The offshore
marine sector is on the move now and one will really benefit
financially looking closely at the mentioned stocks.
Ok, a few readers asked me about the recent IPO Global Palm
which was expectantly went up a few cents yesterday.
This IPO was priced at 46cts but the stock spiraled from
debut and is now in the 30s. The next resistance stands at
37cts, and it should be heading toward it. But once the stock
break yesterday low of 33cts, my positive view will be negated.
This stock will only be super-bull when it crosses its IPO
price which is still reasonably far away, and many resistances
stand in its way.
I am closely looking at Genting, Cosco, Sound Global, PEC,
YZJ, Mermaid, Swiber, Broadway and recent IPO
Global Palm. Sound Global and PEC are ripe for another surge.

Market View 14 June 2010
Last couple of days had been pretty tight and
busy for me, juggling between the football, family
and the market, but luckily I got a CO who also watch
the matches occasionally. This is going to be a trying
trading week, no, I am not talking about my draining brain
power.
I read of reports that stated that the World Cup
effect will impact the market this month, starting from
this week.I believe the effect will be minimal, and a lot will trading
opportunities will exist. In case Mr Market is extremely erratic
this week, I will stick to the stocks that I am familiar with,
and you should know who they are. In addition, recent IPOs
may get pushed-up and the Techs is another rotational interest
favourite. I don't think it will be a boring June, that is for sure.
