Stocks in US suffered another selling in overnight
trade with Dow fell by about 0.9% while Nasdaq and
S&P 500 dropped 1.4% and 1.2% respectively.
Our STI gave up about 1% yesterday with most stocks
in the red and the blue chip were significantly sold down.
One reader asked me yesterday whether a CRASH is
coming? Ok, this is my own opinion and only purely what
I believe it to be. A Crash will come when the majority
never expected it. It will come when the whole market is
in a euphoria mood or put it in a simple term, the whole
market is mad, thinking that the market will go up forever
and in a unsustainable straight line. Market participants
are thinking where to celebrate with their profits and
thinking about buying the latest Merc or BMW, then, yes,
we can start to worry. Right now, the situation is that, it seems
that everyone is saying Money Not Enough but we can
still see that the restaurants are packed with customers and
long queue forming outside waiting to go in. When there is a
latest phone out from Apple and Samsung, and even the
latest computer games out, we also can see queues all around.
I believe that we won't see a market crash in the foreseeable
near term, as I simply can't see such a event happening.
I maybe wrong and correct me if I am wrong, but when your
friendly fishmonger or Mixed Rice stall helpers tell you which
stock will rise the next day, please inform me immediately.
Noble announced its Q3 result yesterday and although it
fell short of some analysts' expectation, it is still an admirable
result in my view. But the market seems to think otherwise
as I can see the pre-opening quote that it is going to open
lower and weak. Never mind, I will take time to monitor it.

Market View 8 November 2012
Congrats to Mr Obama for winning the US Presidential
race but too bad the defeated Republicans remain in
control of Congress and it is status quo again.
The worries and fear about fiscal cliff surfaced again
after the result is clear and the 3 major indexes really
fell off the cliff. Dow was down about 313 points or
2.4%, while Nasdaq and S&P 500 registered a loss
of 2.5% and 2.53% each.
It isn't going to be a pretty opening in our market
this morning and looking at the pre-opening quote
some stocks are putting on ugly mask this early hour.
As usual, look for the greens, if any. I believe that it
is still a decent time to pick up the broken pieces
along the way. Nobody tell you to show hand and
buy all you want in one go. Watch and observe and
you will notice cut-throat bargains.

Market View 7 November 2012
While the US voters were deciding who they want
to be the next president, Wall Street have other ideas.
US market staged a pre-rally with Dow up more than
1% while Nasdaq and S&P 500 registered a 0.4%
and 0.8% gain. The voting centres are closed right
now and the votes counting is proceeding as I write.
It is by far a very close race and until the fat lady
sings, the verdict is still wide open, but I have made
my stand for a while.
Stocks have been pretty quiet lately except for some
in-the-news stocks. I continue to monitor closely and
pick up the broken pieces. Don't ask for my stocks,
it have been revealed long ago.

Market View 6 November 2012
It is US Presidential voting day today and although
many voters are believed to have voted early already,
it is still turning out to be an exciting race to the White
House. I have already stated my stand of the likely
winners and I believe that many voters will be doing
the same thing as me. Let's see how it turn out later.
Stocks are likely to remain quiet and trading volume
subdued as the traders look for leads and the result
of the election. I will just this opportunity to maybe take
a break while watching for any irregularities.

Market View 5 November 2012
Quite interestingly, a few readers asked me last
week which side I am with the US Presidential
election? I look at the sentiment and history and
I expect it to be all but just status quo. I expect
President Obama to be elected again and not
that cocky Romney, in my own view.
With the presidential election just tomorrow, it
seems that the market will be taking a defensive
stand this 2 days until the coast is clear. Expect
to see low and maybe crawling trading volume
with big bets being withhold until the result is out.
I will just be on a as-usual lookout for any good
potential being whacked down hard, if any.
