The first trading day of July and the beginning
of Q3 2011. What lies ahead and what can we
expect in this quarter and the next half year?
I believe that the general market will still have a
decent performance in the coming 6 months.
In fact, we may even end the year closing on
a grand finale and on a very high note.
But, as usual, there will be headwinds everywhere
and popping up from time and time, and thus
presenting us with a great buying opportunities
like the recent market slum period that we encountered.
If you have heed my recommendation to buy quality
stocks in recent weeks, then you are likely sitting
on a reasonably paper-profits, or pure hard cash if you
had encashed it from Mr Market lately.
I don't want to sound like a doom-and-gloom naysayer
but I believe that the recent market surges will be over
pretty soon as it is going to take a deserved breather
and consolidate itself for future and further advancement.
We have a decent or "indecent" gains from as many
stocks, and if the stocks drop to the trailing stop set by
you, just get out first. I see limited upside in quite many
stocks from my chart reading although on a mid-long term,
the prospect looks bright. I don't have a crystal ball with me,
and I definitely don't have a divine talking parrot or the
amazingly accurate octopus, Paul, but I am just voicing out
what I believe in and it is my own opinion.

Market View 30 June 2011
The last trading day of June and Q2 2011.
Are we going to witness a last-minute window
dressing today and all stocks get to be pushed
up in a buying frenzy?
I believe you will be disappointed if you are
having such unrealistically optimistic view.
Yesterday, STI chalked up a 29 points gain but
if you look at the broad market, not many stocks
are really having a good run, the focus seems to
lie more with the blue chips. Only the "chosen" ones
will shine today, and I have highlighted a couple of
them in my blog lately.
Some readers I chatted with bought STX OSV at the
1.36 resistance-turned-support yesterday and I believe
they stand to gain a few cents of contra profits, but do
still have your cut-loss ready in case a strong headwind
comes by.
Yesterday, I received a comment from someone by the
name of Active Investor with a former remisier king,,
Peter Lim picture. He asked "How many % you can make
per year?" Well, I certainly won't disclose the exact figure
that I made, but seriously, you don't need to make money
from many stocks, you just need to make BIG money
from a couple of stocks to have a good performance year.
An example will the most recent case of STX OSV, a trader
can make at least a 10-20cts profits from the stock
and if let say you have a reasonable transaction volume,
you are close to making what others is making in a few
months of salary. It is just a simplified example and scenario
that I am talking, but as in all trades, the risks need to be
well-managed as well.

Market View 29 June 2011
The story of yesterday's trading must be STX OSV
as it surged to a high of 1.40 before closing at 1.38
If you want to know the "reason" why it rose, then
I can tell you that JP Morgan initialed coverage on the
stock with a target price of $2. But to me, this is just
a catalyst for its surge as this is a well-fundamental
gem just waiting to be unearthed.
Anyway, when it was still hovering around the 1.18-1.20
region, I stick my head out and commented that I am
looking at a 50% profits from this stock in the mid-term,
and until now, I still maintain my view. It has since moved
up about 17% and I believe there is still much more upside.
A few readers benefited from my recommendation on the
stock but they sold too early looking at the comments that
they left on my blog, but I know that some went for contra
gains so it is still a good kopi-money. Next time, try for
Starbucks' coffee.
Ezra surged to a high of 1.47 but still closed below the
1.45 resistance at 1.44 It will definitely try again at the
high but I believe its upside is capped for now and a
fair consolidation is needed.
Some readers asked me about Midas which I believe will
have further upside after it cross the 66cts hurdle with
good volume and the next resistance will be at 69cts.

I believe the readers should have quite a field day
in trading yesterday as a couple of stocks that I
mentioned ran wild. STX OSV hit a high of 1.31
only a bid shy of the resistance which I believe will
be overcome very soon. It is only up about 10%
since I strongly recommended weeks ago, and it still
got a pretty long way to go, in my opinion.
Ezra and Ezion also did well yesterday with both posted
good gains.Ezion should have good support at 68cts and
it must not fall below it. The next resistance will be
at 72cts. Ezra enjoy strong support at 1.39 and the target
will be heading toward the 1.49-1.50 gap with pace
after surging pass nearest resistance 1.45

Market View 27 June 2011
The last trading week of June.
If you are thinking whether there will be the
"seasonal" Q2 window-dressing this week, then
I will reply that this is a very likely scenario being
play-out this week. We will have good support for
the usual stocks even if they are being sold down
on various occasions.
I have already mentioned a couple of stocks last week
and they will still be the main attraction this week.
These include: STX OSV, Ezra, Ezion, UMS and
Biosensors. For Genting, I believe all the readers
should know by now, what is its next resistance
and the nearest support since I kept mentioning it.
