Market View 8 May 2009

Ok, so Uncle Sam finally closed in red
amid all the profit-taking after the stress
result was out, so how will our market react
today?

Our market and in fact, the regional market
have been on a rampant surge, ignoring all
good and bad noises, so is the curtain finally
going to be droped, and is the party over?

My view is that, our market and the Hot stocks
will still be going up in the mid-long run, but
for the time being, it need to take a well-deserved
break, and today may be a good day to start.
Recent surges was mainly done by the funds
and the institutions, and don't worry, they still
have tons of money to push up the market further,
but before that, they need the market to cool down a bit.

Yesterday, I only saw a handful of red flowers among
the greens. I just may see more reds today, and I believe
it is a welcome scene for many traders. I will be
cautious but alert today for any quick intraday trading
opportunities, and will likely clear most positions
by end-of-day, and not held over the weekend.

I will be concentrating my trade on the Hot stocks: Ezra,
Cosco,Straits Asia, Indo Agri, Noble, NOL, Olam, SembMarine,
Yanlord & Uniasia, Raffles Edu, Midas, Swiber.
I am pretty cautious but will also be alert to the still green stocks,
but Always Expect the Unexpected!

Last but not least, I wish all Buddhists Happy Vesak Day!

As usual, enter a position will a Trailing Stop,
and Please practice strict (Risk)Money-management.
If you don't like what you see in the market,
simply don't trade.

Market View 7 May 2009

It has been a great run with our
market surging higher and higher, and
charging up the mid-caps and pennies
as well.
Quite a handful of emails from readers
describing their profits with some
of the stocks I mentioned and recommended,
and it is always good to receive and read
such emails.

Are we finally ready to see profit-taking taking
the centre stage today (pun intended)?
I am not at all surprised that the market surge
despite all the bad news and uncertainities,
mainly the noises, in fact, I expected it to happen
if you have been reading my blog.
But I am quite surprise at the scale and duration of
the surge, it caught me a little, but you can't always
decode what Mr Market is going to do, and you
just have follow its script. Luckily, I have my trusted
trading tool that provides the direction and trading
path for me.

It is always good to see the market letting some blood
out, as it wash-out the contra (like myself) and the
weak-holders and allow new blood and fund to get into
the picture, so I want to see some red flowers today
and tomorrow. Some Hot stocks will still be green,
as always, and some will still be greatly supported.

It should be a cautious trading day ahead, and it is not
the time to be greedy, but the time to be fearful.
We have saw some "incredible" surges lately,
for example, KS Tech from a low of $0.88 to close
at $1.20 yesterday in a laggard offshore play,
to catch-up with Ezra, Cosco, Swiber...
There are many "wild horses" still waiting to be
freed, but they will come our gradually but surely.

Market View 6 May 2009

We have another field day in yesterday's trading,
and many readers should have made some $$$.
Now that Uncle Sam closed on a red note, and
the so "stressful" Stress Test result is coming out
on thursday, how will our market react?

After such good past trading days, I am and will be
turning cautious as profit-taking will likely be
the main action of the day.
There will still be a couple of Hot stocks stilling
heading up, and they are the ones that you
should follow, if you are still thirsty for more $$.
If not, then stay clear on the sideline and watch
the show.

I will still be concentrating my trade on the Hot stocks: Ezra,
Cosco,Straits Asia, Indo Agri, Noble, NOL, Olam, SembMarine,
Yanlord &Uniasia, Raffles Edu, Midas, Swiber.
I am cautious but will also be nimble for the still green
stocks, but as always, Expect the Unexpected!

As usual, enter a position will a Trailing Stop,
and Please practice strict (Risk)Money-management.
If you don't like what you see in the market,
simply don't trade.

Market View 5 May 2009

What a great outing yesterday!
As what I have wrote in yesterday's posting,
"be alert to any continuing surging momentum when
market choose to ignore any bad news and focus on
market and economy recovery", the market rocketed
to high and all of my Hot stocks surged up,
and among the biggest winners.

I strongly believe that most readers, if not all,
should have made money yesterday, with some
readers having gain of >30%, and should have
kept overnight some Hot winner stocks,
as the trend is still well intact.
Congrats to all who profited from the Mr Market's gift!

Ok, so what do we have for today?
The Mexician government is saying that the worst
is over for the H1N1 Flu, and is shifting down the
alert from red to orange, but the WHO is still maintaining
its cat 5 status. The Flu has not reach our shore yet,
and there are a few reports stating that Singapore and
Hong Kong are the two most at-risk due to our population
density, exposure to trade, and other factors.
Just take care of yourself, and live a normal life.

After a surge like yesterday and last thursday, I am
cautiously optimistic of today's trading. The Hot stocks
should still be in action, but it may not move as much
as yesterday, and I am ready for the south wind, if it surfaced.

Now, we have Olam at $2, it is so great to look back at
past posting when I strongly recommended the readers
to pick-up or add-on the stock, and if you have catch it,
the profits is definitely >100%.
I will still be concentrating my trade on the Hot stocks: Ezra, Cosco,
Straits Asia, Indo Agri, Noble, NOL, Olam, SembMarine,Yanlord &
Uniasia, Raffles Edu, Midas, Swiber.
They are the Hot stocks, and they are the winners in the surge-up,
so just stick with them, and you should have another field day.

From what I gathered from my sources, there are a handful
of terribly burnt "naked" short from last monday and tuesday
trading, and it is interesting yet again for them today.

As usual, enter a position will a Trailing Stop,
and Please practice strict (Risk)Money-management.
If you don't like what you see in the market,
simply don't trade.

Market View 4 May 2009

After a long weekend break, we are back to
the market again for another week of opportunities.
Over the long weekend, many market-sensitive
news surfaced (and the AWARE news is not one of them),
and most of them are bad news, like the H1N1 Flu has
become worse around the world, and is spreading in more
countries, like our asia neighbour, Hong Kong.
Although the Mexician government is saying that
the spreading of the Flu is on a decline, but I won't throw
cautions to the wind yet.

For this week's trading, we also will have the Stress
Test result on thursday and the Jobless figure in US
on friday. We have many facts and data coming out
this week, and together with the H1N1 Flu, this week
is shaping up to be a very interesting week.

There is a so-called market wisdom that to "Sell in
May and go away", so is this May also a month to sell
or short if some of us will interpreted it to be?
Given we have so many events concurrently running
now, I believe we still should continue to trade in May,
as money-making trading opportunties will be plentiful.

For today and this week's trading, it is good to be cautious
but also be alert to any continuing surging momentum when
market choose to ignore any bad news and focus on
market and economy recovery.
As mentioned on last friday's posting, today and tuesday will
be interesting, as there are quite a number of "naked" shorts
from last monday and tuesday flu-affected market.
Look like the "naked" will be really bare, if they choose to
leave their position intact, and not participate to push up the
market, at least for the first 2 days of the week.

I will be concentrating my trade on the Hotstocks: Ezra, Cosco,
Straits Asia, Indo Agri, Noble, NOL, Olam, SembMarine,Yanlord
& Uniasia, Raffles Edu, Midas, Swiber.
As usual, what else?

As usual, enter a position will a Trailing Stop,
and Please practice strict (Risk)Money-management.
