Market View 12 February 2010 - Happy New Year!!

Ok, a quick recap on the US market closing figures.
Dow jumped up 106 points, S&P 500 added 10 points
while Nasdaq gained 30 points on the news that the
debt problem with Greece received EU's backing and good
labour data. US market will still be trading when we are
having our CNY break, so we shall see what we are facing
on Tuesday.

Today is the last trading day before the CNY, and I will
not be doing any buying today but will just watch from the
fence. But yes, if the stock is doing a last-minute CNY rally,
then all I can do is to sell some stocks that I have.

I will like to thank the supports and encouragements that I
received from the Skype members and blog readers all this
while, and I hope to continue to provide quality posting on
the stock market situation and issues to you for many years
to come.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the readers
"Happy New Year!!!" & "Huat!!!!! for the year".
Remember to stay Healthy and Vibrant, as that is really the
KEY to better trading, and making more $$$$ from Mr Market.

Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!
Thank you

Market View 11 February 2010

US market closed lower "as worries over Federal Reserve
Chairman Ben Bernanke's strategy after the economy recovers
offset optimism about a possible rescue for debt-burdened Greece"
Dow was down 20 points, S&P 500 slided 2 points while Nasdaq
fell 3 points. No clear-cut signal from Mr Market and Uncle Sam
yet, but at least the rebound looks in the pipeline.

We are into the last 2nd trading day before we take a
well-deserved CNY break, and enjoy the festival, and of course,
the goodies and food delicacies, but before that, we still have
a trading day ahead. The market will be in cautious mood today,
and I don't see any drastic big move in either direction, but only
selected play on recent stocks in the news, or have been deeply
selldown and selling in a discount. I will watch from the sideline and
observe for the time being and will not rush in unless there is (are)
good trading profit-making opportunities.

I actually told some Skype members that I am preparing a report
on trading on IPOs and the Hot stocks, but due to some unforeseen
circumstances, I have to postpone it till a to-be-announced later stage.
It is in the process of writing, and I will keep on updated on the content
and further details will be revealed soon.

Market View 10 February 2010

How things can change so fast?!
US stocks rebound strongly as the news that European
nations and the ECB may help bail out debt-ridden Greece
reacted favourable with the investors and traders.
Dow surged 150 points, S&P gained 14 points and Nasdaq
charged 25 points. Is the current correction finally over?
All will be revealed in the next few trading days, but the signs
are looking bright.

STI surged 51 points yesterday on good corporate results and
bargain hunting activities, and maybe a small CNY rally?
Are we really having a good charge before the CNY?
Stocks will likely open higher today, but the issue is whether it
can sustain for the whole day. I am still pretty cautious over putting
too high hope and stake on the currently market condition now.
If you are a mid-term player, then last few days' drop will be
a god-send opportunities to pick-up some good bargains and
add in some positions.
If you are a contra and intra player, then it is wise to take profits
along the way, and not get caught if the wind change direction again.
I mentioned that "It is looking like we won't have a grand-event CNY
rally this week, but I think a rebound is on the pipe-line.", and
indeed we will have just a rebound this week. It is not all-clear yet.

Look for the greens and follow the winners cautiously, or else sit on the
fence and watch the show unfold.
Focusing on Genting, CH Offshore, Falcon Energy, CWT, PEC, Epure.
Winner Stocks: Sinomem, CSE, PEC, Ezion, Swiber,Broadway,Midas &
Sinotel, Golden Agri, Yingli, Biosensor (added).
IPO punt, if available.

Enter any position with a Cut-loss level & Trailing Stop,
and Please practice strict (Risk)Money-management.

Market View 9 February 2010

Dow closed below 10000 points for the first time
since November as worries over European debt and
the health of the economic recovery the main trigger
again. Dow closed at 9908, down 104 points, S&P 500
lost 9 points while Nasdaq slided 15 points. The banks
and financial stocks were the biggest losers and it seems
that the low has not been reached yet. I view this tumble
to be like a correction much-needed and definitely not
a crash as some have feared. It is perfectly normal for the
market to fall after last year's strong surge, and the European
debt worries are just "excuses" to "justify" the selling.

It is looking like we won't have a grand-event CNY rally this
week, but I think a rebound is on the pipe-line. From what I
saw in the chart, many stocks have reached important support
level, and we shall see whether it can be breached. Cautious is
still the name of the game this week, and guerrilla warfare is
the perfect strategy to trade stocks currently if you are still game
enough to catch stocks on contra or intra.

Look for the greens and follow the winners, or else sit on the fence
and watch the show unfold.
Focusing on Genting, CH Offshore, Falcon Energy, CWT, PEC, Epure.

Market View 8 February 2010

We are just only 6 days from CNY, but it look like
what happen in Uncle Sam and Europe will determine
the festive mood of the traders and investors this week.
Last friday, Dow managed to crawl back to positive region
after breaking pass the 10000 psychological support level
and closed up 10 points to 10031 points. S&P 500 added
3 points while Nasdaq gained 16 points.
Will Dow fall down to below 10000 points again?
Frankly, I don't see why it won't search a low again and
last friday's day-low of 9835 should be closely watched.
This is going to be rather volatile week as the market will
have to deal with once-again global recovery concerns and
Europe's sovereign debt woes.

Will we see a "paper-tiger" this lunar year or will it be the
ferocious tiger that we known?
I think we will see a mild tiger at first, then it will wake up
to show its prowess at a later stage of the year.
Ok, I will comment about the local market now.
It was a pool of pre-red before the CNY last week, and it was
certainly not a welcoming scene to many, but we just have to
make do with it. It is likely that Genting, CH Offshore, Falcon
Energy will be heavily traded this few days with news cooming
out during the weekend break.
If you don't know what happen, read up SGX announcement and
Yahoo! news.

I will trade cautiously this week although I believe we will
see a reasonable rebound in the trading days, and will only
focus the bullets on a few stocks. I will clear my contra and
intra positions by this friday, and will enjoy the CNY with a
light and festive mood.
Focusing on Genting, CH Offshore, Falcon Energy, CWT, PEC, Epure.
