In today's The Straits Times, it was reported that
"Asian market crash on Greece debt woes" and
there is a table showing yesterday's %drop and
%drop from recent peak in the various Asia market
around the region. I am aware of the situation and
market sentiment at the moment, but it is just one
of the many scares that we will encounter along
the way in what I believe is still a Bull Market pause.
I will not overly concern about what I am seeing now,
but if I see that the regional market index is down
20% from the recent peak, then yes, I will take
a closer look at my positions. Even the earthquake-shaken
Japan is only down 13.33% and HK is down 10%,
I am still looking at the bright side of things and
believe that the thunderstorm will be over soon
and we can continue over sun-bathing soon.
(By the way, our own market is down about 8% from
the recent peak, if you want to know.)
In a pool of bloods, we can see who is still standing
strong, and we can see that STX OSV is one of the
few still enjoying good supports while the rest took
a beating. I am pretty bullish on the stock both on
fundamental and technical ground and continue to
favour the stock well.

Market View 16 June 2011
Just when we had a Blood Moon this early morning,
we are likely to see a Bloody selling in our market
today following a roller-coaster ride in the US.
But the duration of the Blood Moon only lasted
for about 2 hours, our bloody selling lasts about
1/2 day. I expect to see better afternoon closing
after the morning dumping, unless Mr Market has
other ideas up his sleeve.
Many stocks have fallen to important support level
and may continue to fall further but recover to hit
the support-turned-resistance again. This is going
to be a rather long day if the selling volume intensify
but I doubt that will be the case. Stay alert to any
overdone selling on selected stocks.

US rallied in overnight trade but is it going to
bring some joy to our lethargic market?
As usual, the limelight will be only on selected
stocks again. I will try to shed some light on
where some stocks are heading.
Genting is stuck in a trading range between
1.84-1.90-1.97 right now, and if it can sits firmly
above 1.90, then the stock can consolidate and
move above the $2 again. I am bullish on the stock's
prospect and potential price appreciation.
Ezra rebounded from a low of 1.39 yesterday to close
at 1.44 just a single bid below the resistance level.
I am bullish on the fundamental of the stock but
once again, it need to cross the 1.45 mark with strength
and it will be in strong momentum once it can surpass
the major 1.51 resistance. At the moment, Ezion's fate
seems to be link with its parent company.
Another stock that I have been mentioning is STX OSV.
I am pretty bullish on this stock and technically, I expect
it to test the recent high 1.25 soon and a break above it
will propel it toward the historical high of 1.36
Some readers asked about Sinograndness which I have
mentioned that as long as it is above 46cts and 49cts,
it will soon make an assault for higher price than the
recent high 51cts.

It was a pool of red yesterday but I did see some
green hiding among the reds. Biosensors is the
pretty obvious one, but it will still be just a rebound
from oversold position in my view. If you have
missed the first wave, then don't worry, there will
be many more waves to come if it has truly recovered
from its low.
Genting gapped down 2cts to open at 1.91 and
after hitting the low of 1.88, rebounded and
closed at the support level of 1.90 This is a wild
stock with drastic actions on either side. I am
still holding a bullish view on the stock and with
further weakness presents a good buying chance.
The next crucial support will be around the 52-week
low of 1.85
Last week, I mentioned that although I am comfortable
with the fundamental side, but Ezra simply cannot
fall below the 1.51 support level. Indeed, it created
a landslide after falling through the cliff hitting a low
1.43 before closing at 1.44 and with a small gap at
1.49-1.50 It will be interesting to see whether there will
be further dumping today as the trading volume was
quite high yesterday. Ezion's fate seems to be tied to
its parent company for the time being as well.
By now, the readers should know that I like the prospects
of STX OSV and from what I see from the chart, it
is a decent high around the 1.16-1.18 region

Market View 13 June 2011
It seems like hostile dark cloud is looming in the
horizon to swallow the investors/traders in the
market right now, or is it just a passing rain and
the bright vibrant sun will be out in a flash?
In my humble opinion, although Dow suffered
a 172 point drop last Friday together with falls
with Nasdaq and S&P 500, it is going to be just
fine after the initial morning selling that we will
be getting today. I certainly don't expect the dark
force to be present the whole day and I won't be
surprise if selected stocks reverse to close in the
green after a hard fight throughout the day. In fact,
we may just see a stock performance today.
There are a few emails asking what to do in such a
time and what stocks to buy. I am still cautiously
bullish at this time, and I don't see why it is not a
wonderful time to pick up some bargains that had
been put through a testing period. Some defensive
blue chips will be fine, like the ever-standing SPH,
Singtel and the banks. I am quite negative with the
property counters as many have already chatted with
me on Skype will knew by now.
For those who have no clue what the market can
offer right now, you can continue to sit on the fence
and wait for the sky to turn brighter before taking the
plunge. As for those who see values in the market,
it is time to put your money on the line.
Somehow, I believe the victim for the dark sky today
will be the flood-prone area who will suffer again if
a heavy rain came pouring down. Nobody seems to know
what is happening with the floods and a who-who
still can suggested that it is weather pattern changes.
I rest my case.
