Today is the last trading day of October and I
know that many readers will be glad that the
so-called "worst" trading month is finally over.
Actually, there isn't really something like an
extremely bad or good trading month, but only
winning stocks and losers. As long as you on the
winners, you can still make a pile in a bad trading
month for the others.
When the cat is away, the rats come out and play.
Due to the hurricane, US market was closed for
2 days and somehow that create a vacuum and
it is now deal to individual market reaction. While
the STI is still considerably stable, the pennies and
mid-caps are taking a hit.
The commodities suffered badly as we can see
from Olam, Noble and the palm counters. Even my
best recommendation stock, STX OSV, only slided
down to close at 1.52 yesterday, just a few bids shy
of the support level of 1.5-1.51 To me, I believe that
now a very good time to start to pick up stocks.
If you believe in statistics, then there is a common
knowledge that if you buy around October and sell
in the following year's April, you are most likely to reap
a good profits.

If you don't like what you see in the market,
simply don't trade.

危机就是转机!! The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word "Crisis". One brush stroke stands for Danger, the other for Opportunity. In a Crisis, be aware of the Danger but recognise the Opportunity. - Former US President Richard Nixon
