Market View 9 September 2013

If you read today's ST, there is an article
stating that "dont call a bottom on market
just yet". Yes, there are a lot of uncertainies
as highlighted in the article and as observed
by the column, September is traditionally
the worse month of the year for the stock market.
Sometimes, I use such article as a reverse
indicator. I believe that on the contrary, the 
bottom is very near. Yes, the self-declared
World Police may strike Syria. Yes, the oil
price may escalate and add to the inflationary
pressure. Yes, the Fed may tighten credit measures.
Yes, Obama may replace Bernanke. It seems
like we have a perfect storm on the horizon 
and any other bad things that can happen will
eventually be true. But it is exactly at such a
time that is the best chance to pick up the
stocks at a discount. If the readers can recall
that in one of the blog post, I stated that the
STI should rebound and bottom from about the
2980 region. I still believe it will be the case 
in the short term.
