Some readers asked how was my vacation on
Skype and email, and I have to reply them I had
a great time taking a break and enjoying the nature
and finally finish a book which had been left on the
shelf for weeks (or is it months)?
I believe in the saying that "读万卷书, 不如行万里路"
and it is during the trip to overseas, to some less-privileged
countries that you can hopefully know and can appreciate
how lucky and fortunate that we are born and brought
up in a prosper country, our homeland Singapore.
I often tell those close to me to treasure and appreciate
their loved ones and enjoy together some precious and
quality moments that will bring wonderful and unforgetful
memories for many more years to come. Although there
are reports stating that we are living healthier and therefore
having a longer life span, but the unpredictability of Life
can just bring an abrupt end to anything and everything.
天有不测风云, 人有旦夕祸福, 莫待树欲静而风不止时才后悔,

I am a Buddhist, although I can't say I am a 100% devoted
one, but I believe in what I believe, and that is the only thing
I care. I like to visit the Buddhist temple and monument overseas
and I am glad that I have been to quite many already.
Somehow, I can spend a very long time in the temple despite it
being crowded with devotees and tourists like myself.
I just like to sit under the shade of a tree or inside the main
building and just enjoy my time with the Buddha and while
away time watching people and time passed by.
My next trip will hopefully be going to 西藏拉萨布达拉宫
Tibet Potala Palace. I don't know whether my body can
take it with such an high altitude challenge but I guess
I just have to do more strenuous exercises to prepare for it.
I also hope to visit the 敦煌古壁画 and walk along the 丝绸之路.
That is my plan for next year's trip and I plan to complete
it within my ability. Look like Mr Market need to sponsor
more 孔方兄盘缠 for my trip next year. 8-)
危机就是转机!! The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word "Crisis". One brush stroke stands for Danger, the other for Opportunity. In a Crisis, be aware of the Danger but recognise the Opportunity. - Former US President Richard Nixon
