It seems like hostile dark cloud is looming in the
horizon to swallow the investors/traders in the
market right now, or is it just a passing rain and
the bright vibrant sun will be out in a flash?
In my humble opinion, although Dow suffered
a 172 point drop last Friday together with falls
with Nasdaq and S&P 500, it is going to be just
fine after the initial morning selling that we will
be getting today. I certainly don't expect the dark
force to be present the whole day and I won't be
surprise if selected stocks reverse to close in the
green after a hard fight throughout the day. In fact,
we may just see a stock performance today.
There are a few emails asking what to do in such a
time and what stocks to buy. I am still cautiously
bullish at this time, and I don't see why it is not a
wonderful time to pick up some bargains that had
been put through a testing period. Some defensive
blue chips will be fine, like the ever-standing SPH,
Singtel and the banks. I am quite negative with the
property counters as many have already chatted with
me on Skype will knew by now.
For those who have no clue what the market can
offer right now, you can continue to sit on the fence
and wait for the sky to turn brighter before taking the
plunge. As for those who see values in the market,
it is time to put your money on the line.
Somehow, I believe the victim for the dark sky today
will be the flood-prone area who will suffer again if
a heavy rain came pouring down. Nobody seems to know
what is happening with the floods and a who-who
still can suggested that it is weather pattern changes.
I rest my case.
