STX OSV and the Three Musketeers really
delivered wonderful trades in the last couple
of sessions. Some readers commented that
yesterday was the post-NDP rally with so many
stocks hitting the top gear. STX OSV and Noble
are 2 of the most glamorous winners adding
significant gains in a day. Olam, Sakari, China Minzhong
and the two Es also performed remarkably.
Some readers asked me what is my view on
August now. Actually, I am still sticking with my
view that August isn't particularly a good trading
month. What we are seeing now maybe the last
burst of fire. I am still in the market when opportunities
strike and I am also alert to what is really happening
in the market. That is why I am going for a holiday
on the last week of August. Maybe, just only maybe,
my travel jinx will surface again, maybe.
There was a comment left by a readers in the blog

Market View 14 August 2012
I have just been through the STX OSV result
and although the profits dropped about 12%
when compared year-on-year, it is still giving
a whopping special interim dividend of 13cts,
that is $130 per lot. I think I should be going for
another trip after getting the dividend in September,
going by what the company did last year.
By the way, I will be away on a short trip in the
last week of the month, the blog will be close
from 27th-31th August. I will be back on the first
trading day of September.
Ok, as usual there were a lot of questions on Genting
yesterday from the readers. At the moment, I
believe there are further upside for Genting when
it can break the 1.27 resistance with strength and
also cover-up the gaps. I will monitor the stock closely.
Regarding the big drop of Sakari, I have to say that
it is perfectly normal. If it continue to slide below the
1.44-1.45 support level, then it will be really bad for
the stock, and I won't rule out the possibility of going
back to square one, that is back to the 1.30s region.
However, if it can breech the 1.50 level again, then
it should be able to launch another assault on the
higher ground. But for the time being, take a break.

Market View 13 August 2012
Finally, it feel like a "real" trading day after resting
for the last 2 days unlike last Friday. Ok, today the
focus will be on Genting, after it announced a lower
Q2 profits. I believe it will still be range bound unless
the recent low of 1.26 is taken out.
Noble will be announcing result after market close
today. It has been moving steadily up over the last
couple of trading session, and it will interesting to
see whether the momentum can continue throughout.
Also, do note that STX OSV will be announcing the
result tomorrow morning BEFORE market opens.

Market View 10 August 2012
It is almost like today is Sunday that I struggled
to get out of bed after enjoying the holiday yesterday.
But it is another trading day and it look like
it will be a very interesting one today.
We will have the heavyweight Genting announcing
result after market close today, and looking at
the price action on Wednesday, it look like the
result may have already been leak out. I specifically
told a reader that it will be supported at the 1.26-1.27
level and that was exactly what happened. It hit
a day-low of 1.26 and closed at 1.275 Any breakdown
from the 1.26 level will be chaotic and it is now
within range to 1.33-1.34 I see it bouncing up and
down at this range for the time being.
Some readers asked me about YZJ which also
announced result days ago. Actually, if you ask me,
I see the company as a very quality ship-maker in
a rather weak sector. A strong stock in a weak industry
right now, as compare to others like Cosco and NOL.
I like the stock and it will be a tiger out of the cage
(老虎出笼) once the 1.04 resistance is taken out with
strength and good volume.

Tomorrow is our nation 47th birthday and I
like to wish our nation "Happy Birthday",

共创美好，繁荣盛世。
I have really nothing much to offer today but
to highlight a news headline in yesterday's ST.
It reads," STI hits year-high on good news from
US, EU" Frankly, I really like to see such a news
appearing in our mainstream papers, and it will
be much better if ST can continue to feature some
of the recent big winners in the stock market.
And this will be an almost-confirm sign that the
market is really going to take a rest. The signs
are already quite obvious, now is the execution part.
Just to answer a comment left yesterday regarding
Wilmar. I don't think I mentioned Wilmar lately and if
I recalled correctly, it should be on the Three Musketeers,
Sakari, Olam and Noble. These 3 continue do pretty
well, and Noble will be reporting its result on 13 August,
and Olam will likely be the last week of August.

Ok, US market surged again in overnight trade
and our market also performed well yesterday.
But I am having an uncomfortable feeling about
the market right now, as I am doing lesser trades
nowadays, and when I did, it is all focus on just
a handful of counters. I am getting lesser chart
indications and many stocks are not "participating"
in the recent run-up. This is an ominous signal and
maybe even an imminent one. I am turning curious
at the moment, although I will still snap up the
bits and pieces of meat I can scrap off from the bones.
There is a saying that I don't know the readers have
heard before and it goes, "上帝要你灭亡， 必先让你疯狂"
I think it is exactly what is happening in the market now.
Frankly, I maybe wrong and people may say that I
am having a doom-day opinion, and that is exactly
what it is, my opinion.
Genting indeed stopped at the 1.34 level that I
highlighted yesterday in blog and only just able to
close at 1.305 I will only be interested in the counter
when it is around the resistance again or else it may
just be beaten back to square one. It will announce
its Q2 result on 10 August, a day after our National Day.
China Minzhong and Sakari are also facing headwind
around the resistance that I stated yesterday and it will
require strong volume and momentum to advance.

Market View 6 August 2012
US market soar last Friday following a
better-than-expected employment report.
Dow was up 217 points or about 1.7%,
Nasdaq and S&P 500 also added 2%.
Our market also performed very well last
Friday with a handful of stocks surging
through the roof.
China Minzhong continue to run up after
crossing the 63cts resistance with style.
It will likely meet the resistance around the
69-70cts level. Its Full-year result is coming
toward the end of the month, and it will be
a focus from now till then.
Sakari is also a very good run after reporting
a decent result. If it can sit comfortably above
the 1.45-1.455 level, then the next hurdle to
cross is around the 1.50 level, but I am seeing
exhausted signs in the stock now.
Somehow, I got to talk about Genting today.
I told a few Skype readers that Genting is in a
stage of decision time last Friday. Base on the
chart, it is either to explode upside or downside
with a bias of upside in my view. Indeed, it broke
out and it will face strong headwind in the 1.33-1.34
region today. Genting will announce its Q2 result
on August 10 after trading hours.
I also observed that there are excitements with the
recent IPOs and I will be watching them closely too.
