Market View 9 April 2012

Looking at the pre-opening figure on the
many stocks now reveal that we are
going to have a weak opening soon.
Nikkei is down about 1.5% now too and
it look like we are going to have a
"red-lettered" day. I have already pre-warned
the readers last week that I am seeing
a decline in trading volume, and the occurance
of many "strangers" hogging the Top Volume.

All that we can do right now is to see if
the stocks bounce off from the support
level or breech through it with heavy volume.
I expect a 10-13% pullback from the recent-high
for the stocks and that will also provide a
good pick-up region.

I am suppose to provide a write-up on the
in-coming IPO Bumitama today and I wasn't
able to post it yet. I will do so by today 1pm
and you can check back at Singapore IPO Lobang
this afternoon.

Market View 5 April 2012

Finally, there is a "presentable" sell-down in

the market yesterday and it is likely to continue

into the market today too. It is either that you

take a early break and have a long weekend

today or you stay back to watch the horror

movie on show. It isn't going to be pretty today.

I will still stick around to look for any rebound

trading opportunities.

Last week, one of my skype readers told me

that he wish to become a stock trader and

get out of the rat-race and the corporate ladder.

I have said before and I will say again that I

don't believe everyone can be a stock trader.

but not everyone will be successful. That is

earning money from Mr Market on a regular

basis. It take a great amount of effort and

endurance to get past the initial stage and it

is even more tougher when you can become

cocky and complacent about the market.

Most people outside the glass thought that it

is very easy to be a trader, yes it is, but it is

not simple as it is. Those really aspire to be one

can start off by increasing their knowledge on

the market and take the plunge when they are

Market View 4 April 2012

There is a "strange" happening in the market
this couple of days. If you look at the Top Volume,
you will notice many "strangers" stock in it,
and the usual "occupants" were nowhere to be
seen. On Monday, Genting is at No.28 place,
Noble at No. 41, STX OSV at No.44 Yesterday,
we can see that Genting is at No.15 place and
Noble at No. 28 and Biosensors at No.29
I believe the long-term readers will know that
this maybe the end of the run-up as the pennies
strangers are usually the last to participate in
the market rally. I for one don't touch all these
stocks as they will leave a bitter taste in my
mouth. They can go up 100% to even 500% in
a few days and I definitely will not even tweet my
eyebrow as they will fall hard onto ground in
a few days time once the music stopped.

For those who don't know, today is the actual
day of the Qing Ming festival.

P.S.: There is another IPO out yesterday, Bumitama Agri,
and looking at the reports, its placement was very warmly
received and oversubscribed. Its application will close
next Tuesday and I will give my view on the IPO in
the coming days.

Market View 3 April 2012

I believe this blog will hit the elusive 100,000
page view visits today and what a journey it
has been. It is standing at 99,964 now and
should surge pass the figure very soon.
The journey will continues as long as there
are readers willing to read the blog everyday.

Market View 2 April 2012

We are into the 2nd quarter of the year
and what a 1st quarter it had been.
To say the truth, I expect to see a good
beginning from the stock market this year
but the scale and intensity surprised me a little.
I have to realign my trades and it have been quite
a wonderful and succulent 3 months.
What I see in Q2 2012?
I see a much more subtle and subsided trading
environment and it will be a sideway trending
with bias toward a reasonable pullback which is
a great opportunities to pick up battered stocks.

Last Friday, I received a Skype message from
a reader and with his permission, I will publish
our conservation here this morning:

Thank you Eric for your kind and sincere encouragement again.
I have to say that it is really this type of personal
view from the readers that spurs me to provide even
better market view and to make the readers a friend
of Mr Market rather than treating it as a fearful monster.

One look at the Total Pageview now and it shows
a figure of 99,604. I believe the blog will be able to
hit the elusive 100,000 mark tomorrow!!!!!
Or maybe even today!!

Market View 30 March 2012

Ok, I received the following emails yesterday
and I am sharing them here.

"Hello,

Not sure if you managed to receive my previous email,

but good call on cordlife. the stock has rocketed off.

Can i find how you came to the conclusion that cordlife

was a good IPO. Could you share the important information

you look out for in an IPO ?"

If I just say that because it is the first IPO of the

year so I believe that it will be hot. Will my answer

be OK to the readers?

Well, frankly, I have done my research on the

company. It belongs to the medical sector and from

the recent medical stock listings, you can see that

they are very well-received. They are also given high

valuation when they are listed, that is why I am very

confident that the stock will be the star when listed

and I stated my view in the blog even before the

application ended.

Next, I did not get the stock from the ballot so I

have to buy from the market. And no, I did not sell

at the high at 79.5cts. I believe that the stock will

face strong resistance above to 70cts as based on

the closing yesterday, there are so many stuck

from the day-high of 79.5cts to the closing of 68cts.

I will watch the show from the sideline.

Another encouraging email that I received yesterday

Market View 29 March 2012

STI only close down 3 points yesterday but
the mid-caps and pennies seem to have other
ideas as they are mostly in the red and with
the trading volume also coming down.
I believe that we will see further selling down
the road and this is all perfectly normally and Ok.
Just keep a lookout for any rebound on the way.

Today will mark the debut of Cordlife group and
looking at the pre-opening figure, it is going to
be a good start of the stock.
