Market finally took a breather yesterday as
many stocks succumbed to profit-selling
pressure and closed at or near to the day-low.
Even STI also fell below the critical 3000 mark
again. With overnight gains on Wall Street, how
will our market responds today? Looking at
the pre-opening figure, we are going to open
brightly but I don't believe the shine will last till
the closing bell. Expect to see profit-taking
appearing and weakness should be seen in
stocks and the index again.

From the recent surge of STX OSV and China
Minzhong (CMZ), many readers profited considerably
from this 2 counters as seen in the comment
posted by some readers.

I am glad that there are readers who gained from
my blog recommendation (not tips lah) and willing
to post and inform me. Not many readers will do
so even if they had made a pile , but that is their
decision and I cannot force them to do any comment.
It is quite encouraging to see such comments as
my wife is always saying how stupid I am to setup
this blog and telling people what are the stocks that
will be running wild when I can just secretly profited
from them. Well...I believe that there are so much
money to be made from Mr Market and I don't and can't
control the market. I just voice out what are the potential
stock winners and the readers are the last person to
press the buy or sell button. Even if there are even more
readers jumping into certain stocks, the market is
still able to absorb all the transaction volume in a flash.
Frankly, there isn't a lot of readers and members in
this blog. I only have about 300 unique visits to the
blog and this is quite a small figure. I just treat this
to be a close-door niche group that believe in me
and my judgement and recommendations.

Wow..wow...what a day we had yesterday!
STX OSV and China Minzhing really blown
my mind and nearly my head away with a
sparkling performance, and I believe many
readers have also benefited greatly from the
stocks I recommended in the beginning of the
year. Even STI also surged pass the elusive
mark of 3000 to close at 3012.
Is this the time to pop the champagne?

On the contrary, although I have enjoyed
succulent returns from the recently frenzy, I
am doing so with really tight trailing stops
and I will take the money when it is triggered.
Expect profit-taking to surface and I don't
think it will be a mild one. Will all the stocks
all succumb to profit-taking? I believe there will
be some resilient stocks making gains and
these are the one to continue to ride on.

By the way, the nearest support for STX OSV
will be at around the 1.69-1.70 mark and I
don't think it will have significant downside
supported by the impressive result, dividend
and the general offer price from the stake sale
by its parent company.

STX OSV surged to day-high of 1.595
yesterday but eventually closed at 1.54
for the day. It later announce an impressive
Full-year and Q4 result together with the
proposal of a 10cts dividend. ($100 per lot)
How will it perform today?

I believe that it will open high, even gapping
up, but I am looking at the nearest resistance
at about 1.63 which the readers must watch-out
for. It may breech through the resistance intra-day
but it need to close above it for any further upside.
On another note, it is on a take-over trail as its
parent company is seeking to sell its stake of 50.75%
by April this year, according to the STX group chairman.
STX OSV was my strong recommendation last year
when it was still relatively unknown and I know
of readers who invest in it at quite low price and
I congrats you for believing in my view and you are
sitting on a very good stock. Like what I said before,
you don't need to have as many stocks to make
big in the market, you just need a couple of reliable
winners to make the mark.

It's Valentine's Day, and I wish all the
couples a very sweet and romantic day.
To all the singles who choose to be remain
in single by circumstances or choice, it is
always good to get a soul-mate and companion
while continue to be successful in your
career or whatever you are doing.
I seriously believe that behind every succesful
man(woman), there is a woman(man),
and I stand by it, and I believe many agree
with me.

Ok, back to the market...
A few readers asked me whether all the
stocks will confirm retrace about 10-12% as
stated in the blog yesterday. Well....where got
everything also can be confirmed. The only thing
that is surely confirm is the word "confirm", that's all.
I look at the market and charts of the stocks and
based on the price action and volume, I formed
an opinion and view. I still believe that the market
is ripe for a break and a correction profit-taking
is beneficial for the mid-long term. But as seen
in the market action yesterday, only China MinZhong
performed the worst while the others are still
green or slightly in the red. I stick to my view.

Ok, I will keep today blog simple as
there isn't many things that I can share.
Some skype members asked me about
the scale of the profit-taking that is happening
to many stocks right now. I have to say that
the correction selling is perfectly healthy
and much needed to weed out the weak
holders and be prepared for the next wave.
I am looking at a 10-12% retracement from
the recent high made. Some stocks may
continue to surge high but I believe that
the upside potential is not as bright currently.
If you die-die-die must be in the market now,
then stick to the greens with a very tight
trailing stop.

And just for the record, I am not a supporter
for the proposed circuit-breaker on the stocks
be it the blue chips or the pennies. I believe that
every investor/trader should be responsible for
his/her own buying action and if they never have
a trailing stop or simply refuse to take a stop-loss then
they deserve to lose big if any reversal or sudden
selling happened. The recent Yoma heavy selling in
the last 15 minutes of the trading day triggered a
suggestion of the circuit-breaker implemented on
the pennies.Such selling happens for so many
times a year and if the retailers never learn his lesson,
then whatever measure that is implemented will be
as fruitless and useless.

Finally, yesterday there were some reds
being seen in a couple of stocks and in
the Top Volume. Is this the beginning of
the End? I can only say that taking a break
now is good for the winners stocks to
prepare for even higher ground in the coming
months ahead.

ST reported today on how some pennies
surge over 100% in the recent frenzy and
while some analysts urged caution, other
analysts are saying that some are under-valued
and still offers upside potential. I can only
say that they are pennies or even micro-pennies
for many reasons and it is mostly due to their
financial results and company background.
Yes, I agree that some are really "cheap" but
somehow I prefer the more "expensive" stocks
as they are more stable and reliable.
To each his own, I stick to my stable of winners.

Today is Friday and the market maybe susceptible
to profit-taking ahead of the weekend, and I
will be very cautious of taking any position today.

This is getting seriously out of hand.
Our market is really in a state of Irrational
Exuberance and the wild trading frenzy
won't last long. We can have stocks like
Interra Resources up 60.5% a day and not
a query by SGX, IPC is also up by 64% and
the reason is because of Mr Oei upping his
stake in the company. But if you look at the
SGX announcement, you will notice that the
"notice of change" was only reported after the
query. What is SGX doing? Then we still have
micro-pennies like Centillion and IPCO recording
33% and 41% intra-day gains. The Bubble is getting
bigger each day and now is not whether it will
burst but WHEN.

ST reported that there are increasing retail buying
seen in stocks. If you are just only buying stocks
now, then it is likely that you are taking the mid-night
bus and there isn't many left. I am glad to say that
many readers have went into the market at the
beginning of the year and many have made good
money in this frenzy. I know of readers who are still in
the market with some crazy winners and is monitoring
with a trailing stop. This is perfectly alright just that
the trailing stop is not just for show, and once triggered,
you must take action.

I maybe long-winded but this is not the time to
be gung-ho and keep chasing up the price.
There is a time to charge and there is a time to rest,
and now is the TIME.

Some readers emailed me to ask about
their positions in Yoma which "dramatically"
fell from grace yesterday and ended the day
deep in the red. As what I mentioned many
times, I am really not into all these speculative
counters which will pop-up time and time again.
If you are prepared to risk in this type of counters
then you also need to prepared for such a
reversal. And if you enter without a cut-loss level,
then the losses can be disastrous. The way that
I look at what happened to Yoma, it may be
a prelude to what is going to happen to the many
speculative strangers and micro-pennies in the
Top Volume.

Recently, I believe that the readers can sense
from my Market View that I am turning cautious
about the current market situation, and indeed I am.
But I am still in the market with a few stocks that
are still continue to trade high but with lesser stake.
Sometime, you have to "Buy Low, Sell High" and
at times, you have to "Buy High, Sell Higher",but
the risk is definitely much higher too. I believe that
any profit-taking now is beneficial to the market as
it take a break and get ready for the months ahead.
This is going to be a real tug-of-war between the
bulls and bears and the bulls have been winning
the battle for the past month or so, and the strength
are weakening looking at the transaction volume
in the mentioned stocks.

Over the weekend, there were various articles
in the newspaper talking about the current
market situation and sentiments, and on the
pennies dominating the main transaction
market volume. Put it this way, I am not an
avid pennies trader. In fact, I simply refuse
to touch those micro-pennies below 10cts
and I will mostly touch those above 40cts.
If you have skyped with me before, you will
know that I will give no comment or view on
penny stocks that I myself also never touch and
will advise the readers to do so too. I continue
to grow cautions about the current market as
I don't like what I am seeing in the Top Volume
right now. I am uncomfortable with the number
of strangers and micro-pennies suddenly appearing
and it is a sign that the speculative mood is
mounting and any "bad" news will triggered a
sell-off and major correction. Don't ask me for
a timeline, I am also following the market script
and following what my experiences told me.

From what I observe from the market and the
economy, this is going to be a year of Drastic
and Extremes. It is either going to be drastically
and extremely good or it is going to be the opposite.
For the time being, I am still cautious bullish that
we are going to have a great trading year, but I
am always prepared for any reversal in course.
Any rally will be a V-shape one and a inverted
V-shape reversal and it is going to be the same
throughout the year. The readers really need to
be comfortable and seasoned to all these BIG
change in trading this year. CHANGE will be the
main action this year. Sometimes, it is Ok that
you need not do anything to face the Changes but
sometimes you really need to Change for the
better and be prepared for the next Change.

is on such days that things may Change and
I am ready for it, are you?

Yesterday a few readers asked me about
the statement that I wrote "I got a concern
that I need to inform the readers that I am
not comfortable with the number of
"strangers" and micro-pennies in the Top Volume
and this usually signify that the "Time" may be
happening soon." Some asked what is the "Time"?
Basically, when the market is hot, there will be
rotational sectors and stocks popping up
everywhere and the micro-pennies are usually
the last being in the centre-stage. From experiences,
the "Time" of profit-taking and/or correction is
very near, according to what I see and view
from the market sentiment and happenings.

Some readers may have noticed that many stocks
close at or near to the day-low after trading most
of the time near the day-high yesterday. This is also
a clear sign that the imminent is quite near.
If the market and stocks reversed now, I believe
there will be many retailers stuck at various hot stocks.
Some readers specifically asked me when the "Time"
will arrive. This is a multi-million question that I really
don't know how to answer. I can only voice out my
concerns and my observations from my experiences.
Since I am not putting money into the market for the
time being, I will not be telling the readers to buy any
stocks now as well. My view will be negated if the stocks
breech the yesterday day-high or last Thursday day-high.

I wasn't available to write the Market View
last few days as I need to settle some
impending issues that die-die need to be
deal with. The issue is not passe and I hope
it will no longer pop-up again.

Ok, with the positive closing in both the
European and US market, the pre-opening
figures point to a rather rosy opening.
I will simply address some hot stocks and
my view on them today.

Genting fell from grace last couple of days
after hitting a high, and I believe many readers
already knew that its next support will be at the
magical number of 1.57 It really NEED to stay
above this figure to have any chance of further
upside. Falling past the 1.57 level with high volume
may triggered further selling all the way to the
1.50 level or even worse.

I am still rather bullish on STX OSV as along as
it is above 1.39, best is above 1.40 where it bounced
off days ago. Just have a ready trailing stop.

Some other hot stocks like GLP which surge past
the $2 with good momentum and volume.
So where is its next resistance? It is at 2.05
NOL is also moving up with good strength and will
face the next resistance at 1.44

I got a concern that I need to inform the readers

Hello Everyone, once again, I would like
to wish all a very Happy Chinese New Year
and may the Water Dragon year brings you
wealth and happiness, and most importantly,
a very healthy mind, soul and body!

Ok, for those who have emailed me last week
with any questions, I am very sorry that I
have not reply to you yet. I will take a while
to answer all the questions in the email.
It may be a late reply but I will still give you a
satisfactory one.

I know that a lot of people are saying that the
current market is overbought and it should not
go up any more. Obviously, such a view is very
narrow-minded and bias, and you may not get
what you want after-all. The market can stay
overbought after overbought for a pretty long
time and you may end up losing a great opportunity
to ride on a good wave. It is this reason that I
always tell the readers to keep a trailing stop with
all stocks. If the stock and/or the market reverse,
you will be stop-out but still with a reasonable
profits with all the effort. You can also choose to
sit on the sideline and praying for the "crash"
to come so that you can buy some stocks at cheap.
But trust me, even if the stocks drop now, you will
still not be buying, as your mindset will change to
"I will see how and where the market will fall to
then I will pick up" It will be all back to square one.

I can only say that from my trusted chart, some stocks
have already stop and reversed last Thursday while
some are still in the bullish mood. I have say this many
times and I will say it again, Look at the VOLUME!
Many books that you read may provide little or no
importance to the trading volume, but to me it is THE
most important thing to look at in partner with the price
action of the day. The entire trend and momentum may
turn with just a strong volume on a particular session.
Stick to the greens and have a ready trailing stop.

The stocks that I mentioned at the beginning of the
year have performed remarkably, and I am glad to
know that quite a handful of readers had benefited from
one or a few of the stocks that I recommended. Some
have taken the profits and enjoy a good CNY celebration
while I know of some who are still in a the stock(s) and
sitting on a succulent profits.

Not much Market View today as this
is the last trading of the lunar Golden
Rabbit and I just want to happily enjoy
the CNY holidays without worries of what
happened in US and Europe. Like what I
told the skype members, I will close all contra
positions today morning and take an early
break and do some last-minute buying
at the supermarket later.
I will most probably be taking one more day
on next Wednesday to settle down after
all the eating and drinking. The Market View
should be back on Thursday.

This blog entry was supposed to be posted
much earlier. But when I started my computer
this morning, there was a "Preparing to configure
Windows. Do not turn off your computer." screen
and it took about 20 minutes before the main
screen pop-up. So I am left with not much time
to write before the market opens.

Yesterday, many stocks pull back after hitting
the various resistance near the day-high. I wasn't
present in the early morning due to setting
some errands but when I came back in the late
morning, I immediately alerted those on skype.
I hope that they benefited from my "timely" alerts.
It is perfectly normal for stocks that have been showing
great performance to take a break and it remains
to be seen whether they will continue to charge-up
further or rest for a while. With Uncle Sam up in
overnight trade, stocks may try again at the resistance
so take note of the day-high yesterday. Stick with
the stocks that can break it but I will suggest that this
to be an intra-trade or very short-term trade. Take
profits off the table and enjoy the CNY without much
worries on the US and Eurozone situations.

Yesterday, I received an encouraging email from a

Market pullback yesterday on the news of
the S&P downgrades of the Eurozone nations
but it is not as bad as predicted. It is looking
like it had already been factored into the markets
and the 3 major European bourses even closed
in the green. I believe we can see a firmer
trading today and a greener finish.

I got nothing much to say about individual stocks
today as I have already stated their support
and resistance last week and it remains the same
until either side is broken. The only thing I can
give today is look out for the Trading Volume.
Yesterday selling is coupled with a more subdued
volume but the volume should be more "excited"
during a firmer session.

It is only one week away from the almighty
Water Dragon lunar year, and yes, I am
looking forward to it already. It is a good
time to take a break and enjoy the festive
celebration with the family and friends.
I believe I will be taking a longer break than
the 2 public holidays, I shall decide on the
last post of Golden Rabbit year.

With the S&P downgrades of the Euro zone
countries, it is going to be a bad day for the
market today. Looking at the pre-opening quote,
most stocks will open much weaker. Take this
as an opportunity to watch the show from
the sideline or trim down on positions.
But keep a lookout for green leaves among the
red flower or a total reversal of the stocks.
Knee-jerk reaction is also possible so expect
the unexpected.
I have mentioned the support level of various
stocks last week and be cautious of the selling
is coupled with high volume.

There are 2 things that I suddenly noticed
this morning. Firstly, yesterday blog posting
was incredible my 700th, and what a long way
the blog had been through. Hope that I can
continue to blog what and how I feel about
the market and looking forward to the 1000th
posting, which is like one year more.

Next, I noticed that today is Friday the 13th.
Any significance to the market today?
To me, it is just another date but only that
I realised it this morning when writing the blog.

Stocks did pull back yesterday taking a much
needed break, but I believe that they will still
be back for another run-up. Some stocks in focus
are Ezra, after it announced its result yesterday.
STX OSV fell to within a bid of the strong support
1.27 and it is currently walking on a very tight
rope. A clean breech of the 1.27 level with volume
will be disastrous for the stock with 1.20 next
in line. In my personal view, it will once again
consolidate within the region, and a break at
1.31 will signify its return to the bull side.
Watch out for Noble, China Minzhong, Indo Agri too.

Another good trading day yesterday with many
stocks continued the recent strong run with
healthy volume and momentum, and now the
question on many readers' mind will be when
will it stopped and reverse or consolidate.
With the corporate result kicking off, there are going
to have some support to the current run as
expectation, prediction, hopes and optimistic
excitement comes in to the market.

My advice as always is to stick with the few
winners and monitor the accompanied volume
for any change of strength and momentum.
I got readers asking about Genting again and
again, and I have to once again say that this
stock is not currently in the play-up. It is stuck
within the range of 1.50-1.57 and a break of
either side will point to its near-term trading direction.
If you seriously want my view, I have to say that
I am more optimistic about the bull side.

There are rumours and reports in the market about
STX OSV being a buy-out target as its parent
company are trimming its positions in the stock.
If you just want a "reason" for its surge for the
past 2 days, then you can take it as it is.
To me, it is just a technical breakout and if the
stock can stay above 1.31, it will be heading to the
major resistance around the 1.37-1.38 region.

Yesterday, I mentioned that STX OSV may consolidate
around the 1.27 support level before heading higher
and it was indeed the case. The stock hit a day-low
of 1.265 and rebounded to close at 1.33 and day-high
of 1.34 As you know, this stock is one of the superstar
last year, and I maintain the view that it is going to
continue its "stardom" this year too. Frankly, I really hope
for it to be "bought-out" with a good exit price.

It was quite a good trading day yesterday
with many stocks that I mentioned in the
green. A few members asked me about when
is the starting date or the price from which
the stock will move up like 30-40% or 40-50%
as stated in the blog last week.
Well, you can look at the price on the same
date that I posted and multiply it by the expected
percentage or you can use the last transacted
price on 30/12/2011. Anyway, it should provide a
good guideline as to where the stock will go.

Just a few more points on some stocks before
my day starts. STX OSV surged past the 1.27
level after stopping there for a while in the morning,
and now it MUST stay above it. Its next resistance
will be at 1.31 level and if it fall through 1.27,
next support will be at 1.20 But looking at the volume
and transaction yesterday, it may need to do a
consolidation around the 1.27 level first before
heading higher.

Nothing much to talk about Genting as it see-sawing
around the 1.50-1.57 region. A deciding trend will
be decided when either side is broken.

Ok, a few readers asked me that the stocks
that I mentioned last week are for investing
or trading purpose? Well, look at it this way,
if a stock can go up 30%, there are plenty of
trading opportunities along the way when it
is rising, and most of the time, it won't be a steep
climb but gradual step-up. But if you don't want
to look at the screen everyday, then you can
also invest in the stock and just look at it every night.
Simple concept but not easy to do.

As what I told a couple of readers as well, not
every stocks that I mentioned will move together.
But there are sure to have some that moves, like
in the case of yesterday. Genting, Noble were down
but China Minzhong and others were up. Track their
movement everyday and you will be able to catch
them when they surge. I have to re-iterate again that
you simply don't need that many stocks to win in the
stock market, you really only need a handful of reliable
winners to make it big in the market. And I am showing
you the stocks that you can really strike it.

We are only 2 weeks away from the
Water Dragon year, and I received emails
asking whether we will have a soaring
pre-CNY rally or even a roaring post-CNY
year as well. I have very good memories
of all these Dragon years as I have as good
trading results on those years too. I believe
that this year will be no exception and I am
still look forward to a soaring and roaring
trading result this year.

One reader asked me why is Genting always
stopping at 1.57 It is because this is considered
quite a strong resistance for the stock and it
will require impressive volume coupled with
strong momentum to overcome it. And once
the coast is clear, it will have a very clear sky
ahead. The next question is when, I believe that
it should be very soon. Monitor its price action
and it will be testing the resistance time and time
again until it is broken cleanly.

In the meantime, you can also look at the other
stocks that I given out at the beginning of the year.

Look like the recent market euphoria is
going to stop anytime soon and it may be
even today. It had been a pretty good ride
last couple of days, and with a relatively low
volume, the optimism has to be stopped somewhere.

A few members emailed me to ask about my
selection of stocks which was given out 2 days
ago. Well, I did mention that I only look at a
handful of stocks closely, and those are really
the stocks that I monitor everyday and traded
regularly. If you notice, you won't see a day without
action in the mentioned stocks and that is what
I depends for a living. Some members commented
that the stocks are "risky" as they can move very
drastically and wild. It is only risky when you don't
know about the stock and yourself. If you trade them
blindly or near-blindly, then you deserve to be bitten
by the "risky" stocks. Monitor them everyday, look and
learn and track their price action on the charts everyday,
be "friend" with the stocks but never fall in love with them.

I missed out stating my viewpoint on 2 very
popular stocks yesterday, and they are Cosco
and Genting. I have some reservations on the
prospects of Cosco on fundamental ground.
But I will still monitor the stock and I will only
be seriously interested when it has passed the
$1 mark with healthy volume. There are plenty of
other potential winner stocks that I mentioned
yesterday so there is no point in focusing on
a stock that may not perform. Stick with the winners.

I believe that many readers must have invested
or traded Genting at least once in the last few years.
It is a so-called must-trade stock for the trader
as it is one of the wildest stocks and if you are
able to tame it, there will be no bigger challenges.
Just remember this magical number for Genting for
the time being: $1.57 I mentioned this figure multiple
times and it had proven to be on the dot at times.
For example, yesterday Genting hit a high of $1.57
and close below the figure. It will test at this level again
and the next meaningful resistance will be at the $1.64 level.
Take note that once it drop below 1.57 again, then the
trend will turn short-term bearish, and 1.50 will be the
next support. If you want my personal view and target
for the stock for this year, then I will stick out my head
and stated that I am looking at a 20-30% upside from
current level.This is one stock that I hope I didn't risk
my head, but I guess if the deadly gallows are waiting
for me, then I can't avoid it. Still, I am crossing my finger,
leg and maybe hair that I will be right on the stock again.

Please don't ask me when and if the current rally will
be ending soon, as I am also just a market participant
and I have to follow the script too. If you have chatted with
me during the November-December period, I will have tell
you to read up on "Capricorn Effect", which I believe is what
exactly is happening right now. The volume is still relatively
low and it will be beneficial to the market if the transaction
volume continue to climb. Like what I mentioned in my
market view yesterday, I am cautiously optimistic and bullish
that 2012 will be a great trading year and there are lots of
winners stocks and profits to be made.

My View on 2012 Stock Market

In a flash, year 2011 is over and I believe
many readers are certainly glad that the
"Bad Year" is finally over, or is it really the case.
We have a rather volatile and irrational year
that we want to forget, but it is what we as an
investor and trader should really remember and
learn from it. It is an invaluable experience and
this knowledge will stay with us for years.

On 5th October 2011, I posted in blog that
"For the readers who are with the blog for a while,
you should know that I like to stick my head out
in order to challenge something or to prove a point.
Guess what, I am putting my head on the deadly gallow
again. I am stating that on 31 December 2011, STI is
going to close higher than 2531 which was yesterday's
closing figure. Also, most volatile and active trading stocks
are going to close above their closing yesterday as well.
I certainly hope it is not a moment of folly or maddness
by me, and I maintain my confidence and belief that it
will be the case by the end of the year."
I am glad that my head is still with me and if you read
on, I am going to stick my head out again.

There are many reports stating that we are going to
have a very bad 2012, and the market is going to fall
further on the uncertainties and crisis coming from both
Europe and US. If you read the Straits Times recently,
there was an article saying that "More Singaporeans are
turning pessimistic about the economy...and only 24%
expect the economy to improve over the coming year"
I am very happy to read such news and I am cautiously
optimistic that we are going to have a good 2012.
As always, I believe in the market will move ahead of
extreme pessimism and we are heading toward a
fruitful trading year. 物极必反，否极泰来!
Somehow, I am always the cup-half-full person and
I believe that any crisis is a great opportunity to enter
the market. 危机就是转机!!

Yes, I know that there are many people saying that
the Europe crisis will worsen and we are going to
have a Financial Armageddon that will bring us back
to the darkness. All these rumour-monger and
extreme-pessimist are only going to be happy for a
few months this year only. I am quite confident that
we will going to have a sparkling rewarding 2nd half
of the year and maybe even more than 6 months.
The Europe crisis will still be popping out every now
and then, and any resolution will take time and it
will be painful. But do take note that the market always
move in advance about 6-9 months and this is going
to happen once again. History will prevail again!

Oh ya, for those who say that the world will end on
2012, and specifically on 20-12-2012, I can only tell
you to dream on and continue to dream and dream.
I will continue to enjoy 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016........

Moreover, we have the US election this year and
Obama will deliver impressive data and figures throughout
the year. Do take note that the base value of the data
is very low given what happened last year and a slight
increase will mean a big jump in percentage value.
This should bring cheers and hurrays to the market and
will propel it to a higher and higher ground as the election
is near.

I have been trading for quite long and I have seen many
scenario being play-out again. Even in super-bull years,
there are still stocks that will ended in red or even bankrupt.
In any bear market, a handful of stocks will still be running
wild and be bullish and making money for the investors and
traders.

Last year, I "spotted" a couple of stocks like STX OSV,
Sinograndness, Genting that made quite a pile for some
investors and traders. This year, I am going to stick out
my head again and give a few stocks that I believe will
become superstar winners.

For China Minzhong, GLP, STX OSV, Noble, NOL, Yanlord,
Biosensors, I am looking at a > 40-50% upside this year.
For Ezion, Ezra, First Resources, IndoAgri, YZJ, I am
looking at a >30-40% upside.
And yes, I am sticking out my head on the above-mentioned
stocks. There will be readers who will ask me that whether
there are still some others. I also like Sakari, Olam, and I
am watching closely on CWT, CSE, PEC and China Fishery.
But like what I mentioned times and times again, you need
not see 20-30 stocks to make $$$ in the market, you simply
only need a handful of winners stocks in your watch to make
it a profitable and rewarding year.
Don't worry, along the year, if and when I spotted some
stocks in play, I will post on the blog for the readers
to profit.

We may still have market weakening this year, and
even a sell-down, but we should be very happy that such
thing is happening as it is a major bargain hunting opportunity.
If you are in the market long enough, you will realise that
in each year, there will be great buying opportunities and
a few months of quiet market activities when you should be
cautious and get ready to take out the money. This year 2012
is no exception. "It never was my thinking that made the big
money for me. It always was my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight!"

I am just talking cyber rubbish and bullshit, then by all means,

This is my last blog entry for the year 2011,
and with that, we will step into 2012 very soon.
It had been a very eventful year full of ups
and downs in what was really a volatile and
drastic trading environment. Nevertheless, I believe
that the readers should have benefited and profited
from the stocks that I recommended, and some
may have won really big on just a couple of stocks.

I will publish my personal view for the market in
2012 next week, and I will try to pin point a couple
of stocks that I believe will become superstar next
year. Trust me, you don't need to trade a full basket
of stocks to win big in the market. On the contrary,
you just need to follow the winner stocks on their
strong momentum trend and you will be heavily rewarded.

I will reveal more of my views and expectations next

After such a long break due to the holiday,
laziness seems to be working against any
intention of doing some trades. I have only
been mostly watching my stock list and charts
recently, and focusing on what will be the
superstar in 2012.

Some emails I received asked me whether
this last few days of 2011 will be the final
rally of the year. Ideally, there should be a
window-dressing done this few days, but it
is also possible that the book had already
been closed in some institutions. Looking at
the trading volume last few session, I don't
think we are going to witness major swing
toward the new year.

So my sincere advice is also to close the book
and look forward to a better 2012 trading.
Take a good rest and be prepared to strive in

It's Christmas!
A time of giving and also a time of forgiving!
Please forgive me for not writing the market
view as I was out having quality family time
since it was "冬至". I won't be around in Skype
also today as I will be out of home very soon.

Life is not all about stock market and there
are time to trade and there are time that
you should be out of it. I still have positions
in the market but as what I stated days ago,
I don't foresee a big fall anytime soon.
The market seems destined to move within
ranges until there are clearer picture from aboard.

Don't you just love Uncle Sam?!
It can staged a strong rally just when you
least expected, and if you want to know
the "official" explanation, then I will just
tell you. It was reported that the surge was
due to "a jump in U.S housing starts, a
successful Spanish bond auction, and
improving German data." Or is this the
start of the long-awaited year-end rally??

I will take a very short-term view with such
a rally unless it can continue and last for
some time. Our own market had seen very
weak and low volume recently and it really
need to buck up if any year-end rally is to
surface. Many people that I encountered and
chat with told me that they see a bleak future
and tell me lots of doom and gloom horror stories.
I continue to laugh it off at such negativity,
but I enjoy reading such reports and stories,
so keep them coming.

One Skype reader commented to me that I
am rather direct and frank in my blog entries.
Yes, I am quite direct with my thinking and

We are just about 2 weeks from the end
of year 2011 and it seems like we are not
going to have a year-end Santa rally this
year. I actually did tell a few members my
price target for a handful of stocks months
ago, but the market turmoil is making the
stock fall short of the target. Where is the
market going in this last few trading days
of the year?

Certainly, I don't foresee a major selldown
in the coming days but wild swing is expected
and it will be a side-moving market at its best.
I am still invested in the market and will continue
to do so, as I don't see a better alternative to
park my money. Yes, I know that the gloom and
doom is spreading to the property sector and many
are waiting for the GPS (Great Property Sales) to
arrive. There are target of 10-30% downside to a
complete meltdown of the property market if you
read the articles in the paper or some analyst reports.
I prefer to open my eyes and ears to look for
real bargains in both the stock and property market.
Granted, I am always looking for good opportunity
to invest in, but I don't believe that anyone can always
pick the "best" bargain at the market bottom.

I am down with fever and heavy flu for the
last 2 days that I never write the Market view.
I think the fever had past its peak but I am
still feeling unwell and uncomfortable so I
will be taking MC this couple of days.

I got a habit of asking friends and those around
me how they feel and view the current market
situation, and from their responses, I will know
how the market will likely behave. About 80-90%
told me that the market will go down next year,
but one very interesting thing is that, they
believe that the real economy will not be affected
and life will goes on fine. I can only say that by
what I have heard, I am even more confident that
we are not going to have a financial meltdown anytime
soon. Although it might be a bumpy and volatile
year ahead, I am still optimistic that there are still
money to be made next year.

A few members asked me whether I enter the market
everyday? Frankly, I don't and you should do the same
as me. I only enter when the time and stock price is
favourable to me. I trade on technical breakout and
also on trend reversal, while I sit tight waiting for the
signal to surface. You really need not trade everyday
to make a handsome profit. I do enjoy great quality
time with my love ones and friend when we meet-up
for meals. I am not tied down by Mr Market and I
can choose not to see him for days, if I decide to.
I only enter the stock when it hit my "best" entry price
and enjoy the momentum play-up or I simply will
cut the stock if it is going against me.

Many are curious on whether we will have a
year-end or Santa rally this year. It is going to
happen if there is one today, isn't it. What we
need is some "good" news as the fuel, and the
fire will light up. There are still time for such thing
to happen and I just believe that we will have it.

A few readers asked me why is it that the
market are still going up despite what we
are hearing everyday. Well, if you believe
what the press is saying, then if the market
is up, that means that the market players are
optimistic about the current situation. When
the market goes down, then the press will
say that they are worried and concerned about
the whole situation. This is especially so when
you watch the CNA morning show. You can
almost confirm what the presenter will say after
looking at how the US market has closed
and how Japan market has opened.

To me, I believe that as much information,
expectation and forecast have already been
factored into the market. Like what I stated in
the blog many times before, the market is made
up of many players, and it is mainly the Big Boys
that determine and decide where and how the
market will behave in any circumstances.
If the market continues to perform well in the coming
days to weeks, then you will read from the press
that the market choose to ignore the gloom and
doom for a while and stage a year-end rally.
If you look closely, we can have a dire future but
the market can still surge on, as it is not what
we want or hope for the market that matters, it is
how the more powerful hands believe that matters.
That is why it is crucial to know what they are
doing and following them through the trend and
drop off with them when the tide turns. I am doing
so with my trustworthy charts and of course, the
experience and knowledge gained and work-on
throughout all these years of interaction with Mr Market.

We are very near to the new year but it
seems like the year-end rally is nowhere in
sight or is it the case? This is the most common
question that I received recently. While it may
look the way now, I expect to see a much better
market condition in the days to come.
Prove me wrong, Mr Market.

I specifically only mentioned 3 stocks last few
days ago, and let's see what happened to them.
Noble have broken the 1.205 resistance and as
long as it is above it, it is fine.
Genting is still some way from the strong 1.57
resistance after testing it on many occasions.
But resistance are meant to be broken, and
once it is breech with a healthy volume, the
upside will be rewarding.
STX OSV's resistance of 1.24 is just a few steps
away, and it should be tested and breech again.

I suddenly realised that we are in the
last month of 2011 and we will be stepping
into the year 2012 and the Golden Dragon
year very soon. Sometimes, when you are
overly engross in something, you really never
realise how time can fly pass so easily.
What have you achieve this year, any remarkable
worth-mentioning achievements to showcase?
It have been a pretty drastic and roller-coaster
year for me but call me a optimist, but I see a
much better and brighter 2012 rather than the
gloomy and end-of-the-world views that some
naysayers and rumour-mongers are saying.
Some readers commented that I took too many
holidays this year, but you all should be aware of
what happened during my absence. Maybe I should
take even more breaks next year...... 8-)

I will keep today blog entry short as there
isn't really a lot of a big changes to the
market lately.

Last Friday, I specifically mentioned that
Genting will face strong resistance at the
1.57 level, and guess what, its high was at
that level and closed on the point too.
It should be able to breech it today and make
a test on higher ground but just remember this
1.57 level if the stock weakens.
STX OSV also hit the 1.24 resistance level I
mentioned and reversed to close at 1.235
I am aware that there is only 1 lot transacted at
1.24 very near to the closing bell, and it is not
my doing. I don't need to buy the stock at this
level just to prove anything.
I mentioned that Noble will be very bullish once
it past the 1.205 mark and indeed it was the case.
It surged to a closing figure of 1.23 after the
significant resistance was overcome. Remember this
1.205 resistance-turned-support when the selling comes.
Next resistance for Noble will be at the 1.28 level but
1.205 die-die need to hold.

A few Skype members asked me whether the
strong rally yesterday is just a 回光返照, and
we will be back to square one or even worst
within days or weeks. Ok, although I agree that
the measures taken by the Fed and the Central
Banks is not the holy grail to all the gloom and
doom that we are currently facing, it does lend
some optimism and confidence into the market
right now. I am prepared to be proven wrong but
until that happens, I stand by my view that we
should have a good 2 months ahead of us.
To those sceptics, they can continue to sit on
the fence and wait for the herd to be back before
jumping, which by then the fresh green grass have
already been eaten up.

There is a very simple method to see whether the
current rally will continue or will it falter away.
A real breakout means that the stock price will
continue to go up couple with increasing volume
to sustain the momentum. Many stocks gapped up
yesterday and a good guide is that if the stock price
fall through the base of the gap then it is not a good sign.

For those stocks that I mentioned yesterday, Genting
hit the 1.57 resistance and immediately reverse and
closed at 1.54 Just remember this price: 1.57
It is like the magical number for the stock and a breakout
of this level will be very bullish for the stock.
For STX OSV, the magical number will be 1.24
Noble will be 1.205

Finally I am back into the market action
but what a bad time for me to be back today.
Stocks will definitely gap up today after a
strong rally overnight in the US and Europe,
I wish that I can pick up some bargains but I
guess that it is not to be this 2 days.
The news that " the world's leading central banks
acted jointly to provide cheaper dollar funding for
European banks facing a cash crunch." triggered
the rally but on the other side of the mirror, it also
highlight how deep and serious the problem is.

Anyway, it seems like my travel jinx is still intact
according to some of the emails I received and
last week was a good time to buy stocks.
I know some skype readers will ask me today whether
it is a "good" time to buy stocks. I still believe that
we should have a profitable year-end rally which
is still not too late to start, but stocks will open high
today and it may not be a good time to chase up.
After the dust is settled, there will be a pullback and
that is the chance that some is still looking for.
For those already invested, stay in there with Mr Market.

Some skype readers asked me about various stocks
in emails, but they are concentrated on a couple of them
like STX OSV, Genting, Noble, the ship-makers and
the commodity counters. For STX OSV, the nearest
resistance is at recent high of 1.24 but I believe the main
barrier is at the 1.27-1.28 level. Genting will face resistance
at gap-covering 1.57 and should it breech it, the next meaningful
hurdle is at the next gap of 1.625-1.64 Noble is the interesting
stock now and it will very bullish pass the 1.205 mark.

If you have been reading this blog and feel
that I have not been writing something "material",
and nothing much about the stocks, then
yes, you are right. The market is doing cha-cha
nowadays and although I am still in the market,
my transaction volume and stocks is on the
lower side. I still believe that we will have a good
year-end rally and until something drastic or
dramatic break my expectation, I will stick to
my view and will still be in the market.

Some Skype members asked me whether that
my travel jinx will surface again since I am going
for a week-long holiday next week. I can only
jokingly reply that if anything untoward happened
next week, then that is my fault. Haha...

I will talk briefly about STX OSV again today as I
don't want to sound like selling chinese ko-yo.
STX OSV nearest support lies at the 1.10 level and
resistance will be faced at nearby 1.16 and further
upside will be met with strong resistance at 1.21-1.22
level. I believe that many readers are in this stock
one time or the other regardless of whether it is done
on a contra basis or on investment ground. I continue
to view this stock as a strong winner in such a
volatile and turbulent market condition.

STX OSV announced a good Q3 result
yesterday night but looking at the pre-opening
quote, it is going to open around the closing
price of 1.105 Will there be a sell-on-news on
the stock today? I can't be 100% sure of it
but I am prepared for anything since the market
have been pretty volatile and unpredictable lately.
As the brokerage analysts will definitely have
something to say on the stock, I will compile
a list of their target price tomorrow.

Don't you just love the roller-coaster ride
we have in our market and some stocks?
Recently we have huge trading volatility in
a handful of stocks like Noble and Genting
after their result announcements and it is likely
we will have another in STX OSV which reports
tonight. Expect to see price swing in the stock
today and when the result is announced.

US almost regained back all the losses on that
dreadful day when it lost 390 points and it seems
like we are going to have such drastic and
irrational trading days ahead with the news from
Europe, US and even China dominating the market.

What a wonderful date 11/11/11 today
with many couples getting married and
I also receive a "red bomb" and have
a wedding dinner to attend tonight.
It is going to be a memorable evening
on such a significant date and just forget
about the market for a few hours.

Lots of email and skype messages I received
yesterday was on where and how it will
move now? A very simple but useful method
is to look out of breakout on either side of
its day-move yesterday. A breech of the yesterday
day-high indicated that the buyers (bull) may
be in the stock to push it higher. A break below
the day-low will be bad and points to further
downside. Seriously, I am still in Noble, and
I admit that I have some holdings stuck at a
higher price than the closing yesterday, and
I also confess that I did intra-trading on the stock
yesterday and my holding are virtually all paid-for.
I am still confident and bullish that Noble can
turn it around in a dramatic fashion and then
many will just rush in to push it higher.

If you are interested in what the brokerage analysts
are now viewing Noble, I got a list of the brokerage
and their target price. It is quite a huge gap in what
the analysts view the stock now.
CIMB: $0.99
DMG: $1.20
OCBC: $1.16
DBS: $1.45
UOB: $1.20
CS: $1.80
Daiwa: $1.80
It seems like the Angmo are more daring with their
target price and expectation.

Needless to say, our market will suffered
the same fate as the European and US
market in overnight trades. All 3 major
indexes in US closed down more than 3%
"as investors saw the spike in Italian bond
yields as a signal that the European debt crisis
had worsened."
I warned and voiced out my concerns 2 days
ago about the article in The Sunday Times and
I don't know whether it is coincidental or the
article is taking the effect that fast.

Noble announced the first quarterly loss in a
decade and looking at the pre-opening figure,
it is going to be an ugly open price. The market
did not expect the loss and although the fundamental
is still sound, a bashing is unavoidable.
I still like the stock and will take this chance to
pick up a good bargain.

Very Interestingly, a few readers skyped or emailed
me yesterday and asked whether the "Big Crash"
is coming after what I wrote in the blog. Well, I have

A number of readers are also concern about how STX OSV,
Genting and Noble will be heading, so I will give you
my take on the stocks. From what I can see from the chart,
STX OSV will have a breakout pretty soon. It nearest
resistance is the recent high of 1.16 and a breakout
above it will propel it pass the 1.195 resistance and
the next resistance will be around the 1.26-1.27 region.
Genting is at a cross-road now and further upside will be
capped at around the 1.82-1.83 region and support will
be at 1.71
Noble will be announcing its result today and looking
at its last few days of movement, it should be a decent
reporting. Further upside can be seen to be heading
toward 1.69-1.70 after clearing the immediate resistance
at 1.63 But do take note that if there is a sell on news,
the next support will be at 1.57-1.58

The Sunday Times carried a report on young
investors like the undergrads making and losing
money in the stock market, while also mentioned
that they steer clear of CFDs, the hottest topic now.
Frankly, I read with uneasiness of such report as
I can vividly recalled that there was also a report
about a U-grad making like hundred over thousand
from the market in a year or so in 2007. Guess what,
the market have a great fall about 2 weeks later.
This is like an unconventional market reversal indicator.
I am not saying that the market will definitely 100%
fall in the near term, but History like to repeat itself
and I am turning cautiously optimistic about how
and where the market will be heading now.
If you read my blog for a while, you will know that
I am quite bullish about a good nov-jan year-end
rally. I am still looking at it but I am turning cautious.

in fact thanks them for giving a possible reversal indicator.

Interestingly, now "Greece had backed away from
a proposed referendum that could threaten its
membership in the euro zone and the European
Central Bank surprised the markets with an interest
rate cut", market looks like resuming its course to
the upside. Although there maybe nasty surprises
and occasional strong headwind on the horizon,
I stick to my view that we will have a good November
to January period and we should have a profitable
year-end rally. Just be prepared for it.

Some skype members wanted me to talk about
the "Experiences" that I mentioned yesterday.
I believe that experiences will come when you have
deal with Mr Market long enough. I am not saying
about doing paper-trading as there is no emotions
involved and you never put money on the line and
you simply can't appreciate the meaning of Risks.
Whether you win or lose in the market, you will gain
knowledge and experience along the way, although
you will remember the trades deeper when you lost.
After all the battle scars suffered, and you look back
at your "records", then you will become battle-harden
and you will know how to deal with whatever circumstances
that Mr Market throw at you.

Before all these, I am not saying that to be gung-ho
and just plunge into market without fear. Well...some
people I know simply don't know what is Fear, and the
result can be disastrous. To be a doctor, lawyer or
any professional, you need to study the relevant knowledge
and then proceed on to the practical parts and become
better and better along the way. The same can be said
about Trading too. It is very simple to trade but it is
never easy to win. I recommended few books weeks ago
that I stated will benefit those interested to know Mr Market
more, how many of the readers actually bother to pick
them up and have a good read at it. Many are just gamblers
and punters when they are trading and winning and
losing are just pure luck. I don't entirely believe in luck in
the market, I believe in preparing for any trade and just
leave luck to where it belongs.
Albert Einstein said before, "Insanity is doing the same thing,
over and over again, but expecting different results."
This is exactly what happened to many retailers in the market
at any time. I rest my case.

There is a saying in the market that "Always
expect the unexpected" and indeed we saw it
happening in the last 2 days. I actually expected
a bloodbath yesterday in the blog but it turned
out to be a greengrass-bath instead. Luckily,
I just need to do some re-adjustment and I am
back in the market with ease. Maybe I need to
take a flower-bath to get rid of any negative energy
and force around me. 8-)

Market is giving us see-saw sessions nowadays
and will continue to do so given the uncertainities
and expectation and rumours circulating in the air.
All these noises turn into Fears and that is why I
received feedbacks from the members on what to
do next. Many a time, I have seen such market condition
and sentiment aplenty having been in it for quite
some time, and I can say that experiences really
play a part. Because you have seen something
happening again and again, you "automatically" know
how to deal with it when it presents itself to you.

I just realised that there is a comment posted yesterday
in the blog, "Blood shed? its positive 1% u idiot!
dun just follow blindly... when US is down, u say STI
will go down... when US is up.. u say STI will go up
Stop stating the obvious!"
The first part of the comment have been addressed in
the beginning of the blog, but the second part about I
just stating the obvious is entirely wrong. I believe the
readers can testify for me that even as US is down,
I will still write that after an initial pullback, we will finish
the day stronger and in the green. When US rallied
overnight, I still wrote that to trade with caution as the
momentum won't last for the full day. It is either the
comment owner choose to ignore this fact or have been
reading the blog for just a short period. Anyway, the readers
have their own bright eye to know that I am telling
the truth.

I still have readers who bought yesterday when it was
still all-red in the early trading day. For them, just have a
trailing stop ready and let the profit runs.

Look like we started the first trading day
in November with a "bang" and most stocks
were hammered down yesterday due to the
news that Greek is calling for a confidence
vote and a referendum to the last week's deal.
What a "great" unforeseen move by the Greek
government?!

It is going to be another bloodbath today looking
at overnight closing figure from Europe and US.
But if the scale of selling gets too much to my
"liking" then I will also start putting some money
into the market again. Seriously, if you are not
comfortable about the market now, just don't
make any transaction for the time being. But if
you know what you are doing and what are the
risks involved at this juncture, then this maybe
a wonderful time to put in the net.

The first trading day of November and
it is likely another weaker day but I expect
to see a good month ahead. To me, a
pullback now is a very good opportunity to
pick up some bargain in anticipation of a
year-end rally which I strongly believe will come.
You can choose to ignore and disbelieve what I
say, and only time and Mr Market can prove
me wrong in the days ahead.

I mentioned that I believe that stocks should
pullback 5-8% from the recent high and it
is looking very likely the case. Some skype
members asked whether they can contra the
counters when it is within range. Usually, I don't
really trade the stocks in the red unless I see
that a rebound is coming. I will pump money
into the stock and not contra or intra trade them.
But if you are really game for it, you can put in
a small position and have a cut-loss level in-place.

We are in the last trading day of October and
what a roller-coaster ride it had been. Regardless
of what optimism, emotional and sentiment
driven events that had been driven up the market
lately, the party got to end somehow. And today,
it seems like will be the day.

I have told a few skype members last week and
I will put it in writing on the blog today. Given
the positive Europe debt crisis outlook, I believe
that a profit-taking pullback of 5-8% on the stocks
and index is pretty justified and it should start
today. When I say a pullback, it means a 5-8%
drop from the recent high which you can gathered
from the charts.

We have the leaders of G-20 meeting on Thursday to
discuss further about the debt deal and it will be an
all-eye main event this week. Then we will have the
October job data from the US this Friday. It is going to
be a very volatile and expectation-driven trading week
and a cautious mood will be just the stance to take.

Ok, if you read any newspaper today, you will
see that the "reason" to the huge surge in
market was due to a deal (plan) to recuse
the Europe debt crisis. But is the crisis really
over or will the bottomless pit prove too much of
a challenge, only time will tell. For the meanwhile,
just enjoy the surge but don't be too happy and
ignore the fundamentals. Looking at the "haircut"
happening in Europe, I think I also need to get
a real haircut too.

A few skype readers asked me why is it that
certain stocks can surge so much while the
others only inch up a bit. I have to say that
"All Stocks are Equal but some are more Equal
than Other", a modification from the famous quote
by George Orwell in the book, Animal Farm.
The fundamental of stocks don't change overnight
but it is the sentiment and emotion change that
propel the stocks up and down. And take note that
not all stocks will have the necessary fuel (volume)
to push them higher.

I gave out a list of stocks that I normally traded
exactly in last Thursday's blog entry and you will
notice that there are Big winners yesterday.
Stocks like Olam, up 21cts or 9.5% in a day, YZJ
up 7.5cts or 8%, Biosensors up 12cts or 9%, GLP
up 11.5cts or 7%, Noble up 14cts or 9.5% and many
others that you can check out yourself. I have to say
that if you really want to make good money from
stocks, you need to be in those with good "support"
from the market players. They will be the first to move
with huge trading ranges but they are equally "strong"
on the downside.

Don't you just hate it when the meat destined
to be coming into your mouth suddenly dropped
onto the floor?!!? When I saw that Dow was down
over 200 points on Tuesday night, I was so happy
that I will have another chance to pick up some
bargain and was hoping for another bloody session
on Wednesday. But to my disappointment, Dow went
up 162 points, although it is still net negative of about
40 points, our retailers and market players will choose
to be "forgetful" and just favour in the yesterday closing.

Our market will open high today but I really hope that
I will get my wish and the stocks will pullback and I can
take my time with the pickings.Will just keep it short
for today.

Most stock closed green yesterday but did
you notice that many of them also closed
at or near to the day-low rather than the
day-high? The trading volume were also
quite subdued in a way. Wall Street were up
again in overnight trade but I don't think it
will bring a great deal of strength and cheers
to the market. I believe it will be the same
case today as what happened, opened high
but ended weaker.

I received an email from a reader with questions
on STX OSV. It was sent together with a chart
but I will just publish the question in the blog
without the sender's name.

"Hi Mr stocklobang

I would need your advise on stx osv, notice that the

previous pullback after it filled the gap of 0.8 it have a

strong rebound, do you think this time the pullback will

fill the gap of 0.93 to 0.905 and it will be a good opportunity

to buy at 0.905?

Thanks a lot for your advise"

If you have been reading my blog lately, you will have

known that I expect a 10-15% pullback on stocks including

STX OSV from their recent high. STX OSV hit a high of

1.195 and retraced indeed 15% to a low of 1.02 and rebounded.

Never mind about all the "news" that came out but the

stock's fall did stop at the 15% mark.

For the current situation, I definitely don't expect it to break

the 1.02 critical mark again. But if it really breached the mark

again, then it should be heading toward the next meaningful

support at 91cts. To put it very bluntly, it just cannot fall below

the 1.02 mark, if not it will triggered another down-slide.

I know of readers who bought the stock at or near the 1.02

low last Friday, and some will be treating their trade as

contra-trading while others will be putting money into the stock

as a mid-term investment. I believe it should consolidate around

the current price and will be moving up again but be cautious

of the stock erratic movement.

Wall Street rallied last Friday as the market was
anticipating that Europe will come up with a
comprehensive plan to deal with its debt problems.
Strong healthy corporate results also added
strength to the surge, with Dow up more than 2%.
It has been this case for the last couple of months
with sudden spikes coming in a few days of
inactivity then followed by a equally strong pullback
only some days later. I can only say to be very
cautious of such a spikes. Our local market will
also open up this morning but I don't expect a
equally closing figure.

The main attraction in last Friday trading is definitely
none-other-than the STX OSV. It plunged hard to
close at 1.02 with a high volume as well. I am not
going to repeat what the newspaper have already
reported, anyway, that is their side of the story.
Before the sudden plunge, I have already stated that
the stock is going to have a retracement very soon
and it is likely between the scale of 10-15%.
True to what I mentioned, it have pullback exactly
15% from the high of 1.195 to close at 1.02

Regardless of whatsoever reason, it will still open
higher in accordingly to the rest of the market and
the critical recent low of 1.02 must be seriously
watched. I know of readers who bought the stock
at about 1.02-04 region as an investment and not
to intra or contra trading the stock. The fundamental
of the stock did not change at all and I believe it
will be constantly valued by the market players
again and again.

Market indeed pullback yesterday after days
of greens and most stocks closed in the red
down by a couple of percents. Some readers
asked me why the 10-15% retracement that I
gave yesterday and not like 8%,12% even 20%.
This is like a million dollar question that is also
interesting. Recently, stocks have been surging
through the roof as much as over 50% rebound
by some stocks in just a short time. To me, a
pullback of 10-15% in such circumstance is
reasonable. I don't just pluck the numbers out
from the air but this is what I observe in dealing with
as many stocks before.

Stocks will still be under selling pressure today
as like what I mentioned, the writing is already
on the wall from the traded volume previously.
Given that today is Friday, I believe we will still
be heading toward a weaker closing today.
I don't want to speculate on any stock target now
as I have already mentioned the 10-15% pullback.
Just do the maths on your selected stocks using
their recent highest price traded.
One more thing before I forgot, some readers asked
me why my watchlist yesterday never consists of stocks
like Keppel Corp, SGX, the Reits... I have to say again
that those are the stocks that I normally do my stock
trading on. I intra and contra trade on the stocks.

Wall Street closed in the red in overnight trade
so will our market succumb to the selling pressue
this time? I believe the answer is a Yes. If you look
at the hot stocks at the moment, they have been
going up with decreasing volume and that to me
is quite an imminent sign that it is the beginning
of the end. My expectation of 5-8% pullback for
the index and 10-15% pulback for the stocks from
the recent high still remains, and I believe I will
get it this time. I am still pretty optimistic that after
the pullback, the joyous mood will still come back
as we will have a great November-December rally.
This is purely my view and it may or may not materialise.

Ok, I promised a skype member to reveal what type
of stocks I am trading and are in my watchlist. I don't
mind doing so as they are just the normal winner stocks
and even with more players pumping money into them,
all these will still be absorbed. Normally, about 90+%
of my trades are concentrated on the following stocks:
Biosensors, Cosco, Ezra, Indo Agri, Genting,GLP, Golden Agri,
Noble, NOL, Olam, PEC, Sakari, STX OSV, YZJ, Yanlord...etc.
And the remaining 10% of the trades are on those situational
or rotational plays like the Water-treatment stocks, commodities
or even the food stocks.

Some readers may say that the above-mentioned are "expensive"
stocks and they like to stick to those "cheaper" pennies.
From my experiences over the years, I know that the mentioned
stocks will be the first to move and the scale of the move can be
huge as well, but do take note that they will be the first to fall too.
There is no single trading day that you won't see a few
of them in the Top Volume and that is exactly what I thrive on.
Being a trader, I need the volume, volatility and occasional
irrational moment of the stocks to make good of the presented
trading range. There are reasons why they are "expensive"
compare to the "pennies" looking at their fundamentals and why
they have so much volume everyday. Sometimes, when a skype
ask me about a pennies that I never study, I really can't offer
much assistance and advice, but if you ask me about the above
stocks, I can tell you many "stories". 8-)

With the US indexes up in overnight trade,
will the market goes up again and resume
the recent upside? I believe that the market
will open higher but ended the way weaker.
Some readers I know had bought some stocks
when there is a pool of reds in the market yesterday.
It is good to stick to a trailing stop in such
a market environment.

Ok, there are some emails asking for the
technique or methods that I am using to trade
stocks. Frankly and seriously, there is no way that
I will reveal every single techniques and methods
that I am using in the blog. But being "授之以鱼，也要授之以渔,
I will seek to give out some pointers along the way.
Some of the techniques have been acquired
through experiences in my trading years and
some have been modify or "enhance" to suit our
local trading arena.

There is one trading technique that I have been
using for many years and it is very simple and
market-friendly, and it is called Darvas Box Theory
developed by the late Nicolas Darvas. You can either

nowadays like to do, just Google it. I will reveal

Finally, European and US stocks fell in overnight
trade and if you simply want to hear a news to
justify the fall, then this is the report, "U.S. and
European stocks fell on Monday and the euro slipped,
after Germany dashed hopes that the euro zone debt
crisis would be resolved at next Sunday's summit of
European leaders." If you choose to believe me, then
I will tell you that this is just a normal retracement from
the recent surge-up and it is just a time to reshuffle the
cards in the market now.

The perfect scenario for the retracement will be a
5-8% fall for the indexes and a 10-15% drop for the
stocks, but sometimes the scripts are just too perfect.
I believe we will still see selling for the next couple
of days as profit-taking will take centre-stage.

With regards to trading warrants, I can say that is not my

cup of tea as I stick to stock trading as my main focus.

I am a firm believer of using trailing stops to protect the trade,

to preserve the profits gained, and to prevent a winning stock

from going into a loss. I sincerely urge the reader to adopt it as

well as it is simply a beneficial and essential trading practice.

My view is that set a trailing stop with the warrant, and if the price

got hit, then you are stop-out with a profit. The main argument to

the trailing stop practice is that "what if the stock/warrant rebound?"

Very easy, just ask yourself truthfully, what are the success rate

and chances of such thing happening with the trades that you

have done and completed. I can tell you that most that time the

fall will become worse, and the praying sound will also become

louder and more desperate and morale-draining if the profits

reversed into losses. I rest my case.

Ans: I am using Metastock with daily end-of-day data.

It is perfectly Ok to use the free Chartnexus as we are

2. Is there any useful & practical courses that I can go for

in the market because I saw a lot of advertisements on the

newspapers proclaiming easy profits for stocks which I know

is not true, as there is not free lunch in the world. I know stock

ANS: Well, all that I can say is that Stock Trading is simple

but not easy. To be a good doctor, lawyer and even an actors

take years to perfect the skill and technique, and it is the same

case for a good stock trader. I am not saying that I am a 100%

every-trade-is-a-winner stock trader, and I am still learning

from Mr Market everyday.

Aspiring Investor and Trader can start off by reading a couple

of books like, "Why am I Always Losing in the Stock Market" by

a local writer who is also a remisier at a local brokerage.

Wiliam O'Neil's 'How to make money in stocks', Nicolas Darvas'

"How I Made 2,000,000 in the Stock Market". Further studies can

include Larry William and Alexander Elder books as well.

A website that is a must to visit everyday is SGX announcement

page. I normally have a explorer window pointing to the site

and I will visit the site at least 3 times a day, before the market opens,

while I am taking my lunch, and at night together with the chart

reading. I will also just pop-by at anytime during the trading hours.

3. If I want to do full time trading on my own, targeting 2 to

3K a month, how should I start preparing? (Sorry, if you think

the question is stupid.)

ANS: In my opinion, no question is stupid. The one who withheld

the question is the most stupid. I will answer this question tomorrow.

4. While doing trading, any websites that I need to monitor

for important news coming in? Because I always notice

towards 3 pm, the market usually fluctuates I guess is due

to the Dow Jones futures, right?

It is good that the sender observed such a "strange" market

behaviour which many retailers simply ignored or never realised.

This occurance is actually partially because of the US indexes

futures and it is also due to the opening of the European bourses.

And also, some traders or funds like to close their stock positions

as intra-day trades and that also add to the volatility and swing

in the market."

I just saw on CNA that Singapore have avoided
being in a technical recession, oh my, what a
bad news. It should be a good news to many
but it is kind-of-a bad news to me. With such
an market-sensitive news, it may triggered a
sell-off if we are in a technical recession and
it will be a another wonderful time to pick up the
broken pieces thrown down by ignorant retailers.
Alas, it was not to be this "perfect" scenario, but
our market will still be weaker today although the
scale is not as destructive.

A lot of readers are very interested in STX OSV
nowadays given the way that it can move in days.
This stock is relatively "unknown" when I started
recommending it but its popularity had grown since
then and the stock price has also been in a roller-coaster
mode. I stated that it will consolidate for a while
and it is still in view that this will still stands for the
time being. The perfect scenario buying opportunity
will be between the 96cts to 1.01 region as I believe
the current pullback will be within 10-15% from the
recent high. But given that the stock now is quite a
crazy horse, it can jolly well give me a back kick and
prove me wrong, but I will stand by my current view.

A couple of days ago, I mentioned that Genting's
resistance will be at 1.63 and Noble's will be 1.46,
it was indeed the case yesterday and will remain
as a strong resistance unless overcome by a strong
volume surge.

If the readers recalled, only last Wednesday,
I stick my head out and placed my head on
the deadly gallows to state that "on 31 December
2011, STI is going to close higher than 2531
which was yesterday's closing figure." It is looking
like I have hit the nail on the head and it may be
a crucial turning point of trend. Since then, markets
had rallied and it seems like all the gloom and doom
have suddenly disappeared. Although I can't 100% say
that we are definitely out of the wood but at least the
sky looks much brighter and path out of the wood
looks nearer and imminent.

Most stocks surge high during the last hour of trade
yesterday as the European bourses were running wild
and the US futures were showing a good performance.
And yes, we will open higher today but I believe that we
will still close weaker at the end of the day.

STX OSV will be higher than its recent high 1.09 but it
will face immediate resistance at 1.12 and a breakout
of it may triggered a gap-covering between the 1.15-1.18
region but I will discount this from happening. Looking at
the chart, I believe a consolidation is about to happen
and it should be fast and furious.

Like what I mentioned yesterday, most stock
and the index indeed opened high but closed
much lower. I believe that we will once again
close low today.

STX OSV reversed from a high of 1.09 to close
in the red at 1.005 I mentioned that a pullback
is imminent for STX OSV yesterday and I believe
a 10-15% retrace from the high of 1.09 can be expected
which give it a range of about 93-98cts. My
pullback view will be negated if it can surge pass
the recent high with good volume. I know of a couple
of readers who won as much as 20cts with the stock
last few days. Don't worry, you will have plenty of winning
opportunities with the stock as it has become a
"popular" trading stock nowadays.

Wall Street soar higher in overnight trade
with the major indexes finished more than
3% higher. Dow added 330 points or near
to 3%, Nasdaq gained 3.5% and S&P 500
advanced 3.4%. It look like we are in a
celebratory mood and we should pop the
champagne now or is this the real picture?

Our market will open higher and most stock
will stretch their recent gains further, but I believe
that we will open high and close much lower
today. Just my personal view.

For individual stocks, STX OSV will likely have
limited upside today and if its volume is
low then the possibility of a pullback will be high.
I mentioned that its resistance is at 1.06 yesterday
and its day-high was 1.055 just a single bid away.
It will open high today but watch for weakness to
settle in as the day goes by.

A reader asked me about the next resistance of
Genting, YZJ and Noble so I will just reply here.
Genting's next resistance will be at 1.63, YZJ will
be at 91cts and Noble will be at 1.46

Another fresh new trading week and it looks
like we will have another volatile trading week.
We have the corporate reporting starting in
the US this week, and the Europe crisis going
for a make-or-break resolution, so what do all
these events provide us with? Lots of trading
opportunities, I believe we will get this week.
There will be wild swing of both sides in stocks
and of course, the indexes too. I don't believe
that we will hit another new low but the possibility
can't be totally ruled out, although I really don't
see it happening.

STX OSV hit a high of 1.01 before closing at
at 98.5cts last Friday. It had been a very good
V-Shape rebound by the stocks together with
impressive trading volume. It had recorded a
high of 27% gain from the low of 79cts and I
believe that its near-term upside potential is
getting lower but it is likely to have found a
low last week. Strong resistance ahead will be
around the region of 1.06 I expect it to do a
consolidation first before staging another surge.

It was a good strong run-up yesterday and
as expected, I knew that there will be emails
and skype messages asking me the same
old question: Can I buy now?
Interestingly, I observed that many retailers
will only start buying when they see the all-green
sign while the seasoned market players will
start to grab stocks when there are blood all
over the market. This is a incorrect way of
dealing with Mr Market and it got to change.
Good money can be made while stepping on
the blood on the street. I did not coined this
saying, as this is an old time Wall Street quote.

Like what I mentioned yesterday, the current
surge is a rebound, and it is looking to be a
strong V-Shape rebound which is fast and
furious as you may observed with some stocks.
Most stocks will open higher, and some may
even gap-up again today. If you are just jumping
into the market, you are in with a higher price
and the higher risks that come with it. Seriously,
I believe there are still chances that the market
will come down after this rebound, but it is unlikely
that it will fall below the recent low.

Some readers want me to talk about STX OSV again.
Well, yesterday while it was surging, I mentioned
to a handful of skype readers that it will face strong
resistance at 91cts, and I was off by just one bid as
its day-high was 90.5cts and it closed at 89.5cts.
The stock had rebounded well after coming off the
IPO price of 79cts. I knew of readers who made contra
profits off the stock and some even got in at a good
price for investment purpose. Please practice good
money-management. It will likely break 91cts today
but it need to sit firmly above the level for any potential
of reaching the next hurdle at 96cts, or else it will test the
nearest support at 87cts.

Ok, so Wall Street ended in the green for
consecutive days and I know that many readers
will be wondering whether the thunderstorm is
over or is it just that we are in the hurricane eye.

My personal view is that we are in a rebound
now as the markets are oversold and this is
quite normal in a volatile stage we are in.
But do take note of the recent low of the stocks
and indexes, and if it is not breached in the near
term, it may have hit an interim-low. If the
rebound continues, then a trend will be formed,
an upside trend, for all who wish to know. 8-)
It is likely that volatile and irrational trading will
continue, but frankly, it is not really entirely a
bad thing, just watch out for the recent low.

Ok, it seems that we have a very unhappy
reader who keep posting comments on the blog
talking about STX OSV.
This was what happened: Before I left for my vacation,
my last posting on STX OSV on 15th September was "
STX OSV broke below the 1.33 major support for
consecutive days but managed to close above it
yesterday. Technically, I like what I saw from its
closing and 1.33 will remain strong and further
upside is at the 1.39 area."
But on the 16th, STX OSV succumb to heavy selling
and breached the 1.33 support level and fell to a
low of 1.22 before closing 1.23.

As I got an early flight out of Singapore on Saturday,
I was only in the market on Friday for about half day.
Frankly, I didn't managed to sell my holdings but my
contra buying was already sold off days ago since I
am going for vacation. Anyway, I also have no intention
of selling my holding since they are bought at low price
and my expectation of it is a 50% return as many should
have read it in my blog before. Till date, I still have the
stock with me, and the quantity had added-up too.

To the reader who posted the comment that I "have
already sold all at a profit...", I posted on Monday that
"Truthfully, I am still in the stock as I still believe in the
stock's propsect and believe that the selling was overdone.
I can't overturn the pessimism on the stock by myself but
I can hold differing opinion on the stock against the
masses and I believe I will be proven right as the time
passes by."

I am aware that the reader may have suffered losses with
STX OSV during my vacation, but I have specifically and
for countless times cautioned that one should have a cut-loss
level whenever they contra or intra-day trade. If you never
have one in place, then you are playing with fire and tempting
with fate, and eventually Mr Market will caught up with you,
which unfortunately should be what exactly happened.
Some readers I skyped with told me to just ignore and forget
such an incident as this is just a small molehill being turned
into a mountain. I don't really concur with their opinion and
I believe that I do have a part to play in that readers' losses
in STX OSV. If I make a posting on the 16th September night
with my view on STX OSV, then maybe the reader will
have cut his/her contra and may not have made a possible big
losses in days.

This recent incident really did dampen my mood and sentiment
and I have borrowed a few listening ears to hear my side
of happening. Thank you for the few readers willing to lend
me their ears. Come to think of it, I have given many accurate
recommendations on quite many stocks and sometime it is
pin-point to the exact price. The most recently being Sheng Siong
when I specifically told a readers that the straight-line surge will
end at 57cts and I was only off by a single bid. Many readers
will also remembered that I was exactly on the dot with Sinograndness
last year and quite many readers profited as much as 10cts.
I have also given many accurate recommendation on Genting,
STX OSV, the palm oil counters, etc. I am very confident that
many readers should have greatly benefited and profited from
my recommendations regardless it is intra-day and/or contra
trading and also investment with the many winner stocks.

History is written by Victors and Audentes Fortuna Juvat
(Fortune Favours the Bold), I believe that NOW is a GREAT
time to starting picking up stocks. I am not saying just throw
a dart on the stock list and just grab it. I am saying to buy
quality stocks, like the Blues for those who believe in fundamental
and Singapore won't sink in the near future. There are also
good mid and small caps worth putting money into and many
stocks can really appreciate when the market gets better.

For the readers who are with the blog for a while,
you should know that I like to stick my head out
in order to challenge something or to prove a point.
Guess what, I am putting my head on the deadly gallow
again. I am stating that on 31 December 2011, STI is
going to close higher than 2531 which was yesterday's

assume that he/she is referring to my blog
post yesterday or to my entire blog as a whole.
I believe that anyone is entitled to his/her own

In a flash, my holiday is over and the
Q3 is also over and we are in the first
trading day of Q4 2011. It seems that my
travel jinx had strikes again and the market
was in disarray and chaos from the first day
I left the country on a plane. Now with the
financial troubles seem to be never-ending
and STI is now at 2675 and and heading into
another bloodshed today, what is my view
in all these gloom and doom?

A lot of readers and members asked me about
STX OSV which had fallen from grace and
it is currently trading in the 90s. It was one of
my great recommendation and I can say that
many did benefit from it. Before I went for my
holiday, any enquires about STX OSV was answered
by me in just one way. I specifically told the readers
that they can only invest in the stock and not buying
it on contra, but I wonder how many did heed my
advice. The stock fell because of fallen expectation
on the future earning and new order prospect by
the analysts covering the stock. Market and stocks
are driven by expectations and predictions from the
mass market players although the fundamental of
stock may not have change at all. Truthfully, I am still
in the stock as I still believe in the stock's propsect
and believe that the selling was overdone. I can't
overturn the pessimism on the stock by myself but
I can hold differing opinion on the stock against the
masses and I believe I will be proven right as the time
passes by.

As I was mentioning just now, amidst all the chaos,
disarray, crisis, doom and gloom lies great opportunities
that the brave and vigilant can venture and gain from it.
My blog title is 危机就是转机! and I still held the belief
that this CRISIS is a GREAT opportunity to rearrange the
riches in the market. With the STI in the 26XX region now,
it will be a marvelous time to pick up and BUY.

you will be buying at the near peak once again when

on news that top central banks will work together,
which calmed fears that Europe's financial sector
was headed for a credit freeze."
Local stocks are likely to react very positive to
this encouraging progress, but we are still not
totally out of the wood yet. Somehow, there will
be news out from somewhere at some time to
spook us and the market action will remain volatile
and somewhat exciting at times.

Sometimes I wondered how can a person
be so inflexible in dealing with just a simple
common-sense request. I am not telling
someone to break the rule but a possible
"bending" of the rule will solve the entire
issue with ease. And did I mention that some
agencies seems to take their own sweet time
in dealing with cases and the staffs are really
just waiting for the end-of-day bell moving and
doing thing in a snail-like pace with totally no
sense of commitment. To them, I serve 10
complains is one, I serve 1 complain is also

Ok, back to the market....
Yesterday's market action is another roller-coaster
ride as stock went up and down throughout the
day, but most stocks still managed to close at a
respectable price. With regards to many readers'
favourite stock, Genting, it is at a cross-road right
now with yesterday 1.67 closing price. It will have
good support level at the 1.63 region and further
upside will be tested at 1.70 region with 1.76-1.77
as the next resistance. I am more bullish bias on
the stock.

STX OSV broke below the 1.33 major support for
consecutive days but managed to close above it
yesterday. Technically, I like what I saw from its
closing and 1.33 will remain strong and further
upside is at the 1.39 area.

US stocks ended higher in late push-up
after a volatile session. Dow were down
as much as 167 points before ending the
day at near-high up 69 points. Will it bring
cheers to our gloomy market and will we
see the blue sky again?

Well, today morning's weather looks quite
appealing but will it spread to our market,
I am having some doubts over it. We had a
bad session yesterday and it was a huge
pool of reds as stocks got beaten down.
No point asking me how I view the market
as my view remains the same and that is
NOW is a good opportunity to start to pick-up
some good bargains. Yes, I know that we are
having crisis and chaos here and there and
it look like the end of the world is coming...

Do you think that only we know the problems
and there are nobody solving and dealing with
it right now? For a start, don't read too much
into the Straits Times article as they contained
too many harmful and negative energy and it
is almost out to instil fears all around. But when
I see such occurrances, I take it as a good time
to buy. I still read the ST everyday but I am looking
at who and who is having sales lah. 8-)

A reader commented yesterday, "Hi,
Do you know of any online brokerage for trading in
Sg market which is really cheap? Currently, the banks'
brokering arm are charging at least $20 n above. I knew
in the US, they have brokerage platform where one can
trade at $1 per transaction. Is there something like this for SG market?

Thanks for taking ur time to reply."

Stocks rebounded late yesterday afternoon
after the Europe bourses opened to the green
side. We can see that market leaders like Singtel,
Genting heading the come-back and in the end
STI closed up 25 points in a turnaround.

I used to comment a lot on Genting some time
back and I believe many readers had benefited
financially way back then. Some readers wanted me
to resume the comment on the stock and I have
obliged and I will start next Monday. But just as an
appetizer, Genting is doing very well with all the
intra-day reversal that I saw on a couple of days.
I have high expectation on the stock and I believe
it will delivers.

STX OSV broke below the 1.39 support level to
a day-low of 1.375 but still managed to close above
at 1.395 I believe the 1.39 level will still be tested
but the supporting forces will protect it vigorously.
It is trading range-bound in a tight 1.33-1.39-1.46
region. I am more bullish bias on the stock.

What a day we had yesterday with so many
stocks having a field day and rebounded well.
There are so many stocks to choose from and
most surged high and provided good profits to
those who ventured into them. I mentioned that
" a rebound is on the card and stocks should
move up in these couple of days cautiously. Stick to
the winner stocks and enjoy the ride.", and indeed
I have enjoyed the ride, and I hope you do too.

A readers commented that he bought Sheng Siong
at 44cts after what I wrote about the stock last
week. I stated that "And the correction will likely
land it in the 44-45cts region", and the lowest the
stock went was 43.5cts, a few bids off my expected
region. I am glad that someone actually benefited from
my analysis of Sheng Siong, that means that he/she
can actually read between the lines. Well done!

With regard to the crowd favourite, STX OSV, it had
done very well recently and 1.39 will become a good
support for now. It should be on its way toward the 1.46
recent high with good volume as a strong back-up.

Recently, our local market is just like our weather,
unpredictable and erratic, but equally exciting and
"entertaining". Stocks rebounded yesterday afternoon
after a good opening in the European bourses.
We can see that Genting is leading the pack and it
will be the first to react to any inflow of buying and selling
thus it is a good gauge of the sentiment and direction
of the market.

A few readers asked me how will STX OSV react
post-XD. From what I see in the chart and price action,
it should head toward the 1.39 resistance and a strong
break of it will propel to the recent high of 1.46

This is going to be a very exciting and
equally stressful trading week looking at
all the news, rumours and ominous signs
that are floating and waiting to fall down hard.
If the current US indexes futures are used to
gauge the price action of our local market, then
it is likely to be as bad if not worse than yesterday's
action. Just be very vigilant of the erratic market.

Frankly, I am still picking up stocks bit and bit and
I will increase my buying if and when STI reaches
the 26XX region. I expect good buying strength to
emerge when the sell-off reaches the climax, if

With the US indexes down more than 2%
on Friday trading, our market will open weaker
and may become worse in the afternoon when
Europe market opens. Watch out for the US
indexes futures as it will determine our market
direction too.

I am receiving more and more emails on STX OSV
lately and it maybe due to my regular mentioning
of the stock in the blog. This is a winner stock in my
opinion and I don't mind sharing it to the blog readers.
Last Friday, even when it started trading XD with a
5cts dividend, the stock still managed to trade above
1.39 support for most of the day. Today, the support
level will be severely tested again and I expect a breach
of it initially but it should close near the support level

Our local stock market was in profit-taking mood
yesterday and most stocks regurgitated some gains
from the last 2 trading sessions. It is perfectly normal
and as what I was saying yesterday in blog, " this is
a rebound that we are looking at". Just let Mr Market
rest for a few days and he will be back with a vengeance.

I will now publish some emails that I have received
from a blog reader and my reply to him.
(The sender's name is being withhold)
On Tuesday morning, I received the following email:
"GOod morning bro,
May I seek your advise on the recent Sheng Song which
IPO in the SGX. It is on a good run till now been raising
since then. However, many of the Gurus in the sharesinvestment
website deem that it's overpricing and might be due to
unhealthy speculation by big players. Is it worth holding it?"

I replied:
"Thank you for your email.
Regarding Sheng Siong, I will give you my TA view rather
than a fundamental view. Sheng Siong had surged about
61% from ipo price 33cts to close high at 53cts on Monday.
If you look at its chart, it is the typical "steep step to death".
I expect it to meet strong resistance very soon around the
57cts level and a retracement is expected. And the correction
will likely land it in the 44-45cts region. At the current moment
, it is very risky to continue to chase up the stock as once the
selling starts, it will be a steep and fast selldown on high volume.
This is my personal view based on TA. Hope that what I said
can help you in any way."

And indeed, Sheng Siong retraced yesterday after hitting
a high of 57.5cts and closed the day at 50cts.
This is the reply from the reader after I enquired whether
he has sold his stock away in this selling.
"Ya bro..

Thankz for the update.. Still tot suddenly chong to .47 lol.
Was outside in the morning din manage to sell off at .57!!
So hearpain!! Sold it off at .515. Wow u reali god man! Ppl
are selling off from their gain ytd.. So sad :("

You maybe wondering that since Sheng Siong is in
an uncharted water, how did I know it will that it will
retrace around the 57 region. Well...Mr Market told me. 8-)

The same can be said of STX OSV, I stated that it will
meet strong resistance around 1.46, and indeed it reversed
after hitting the high of 1.46 yesterday. It is going XD today
with a 5cts dividend declared. It should still be supported
around the 1.39 region.

What a great last trading day of August we got
yesterday! Stocks really ran amok with many
posting strong and impressive performance with
very healthy volume to close high or near day-high.
It seems like yesterday that I recommended reader
to start picking up bargains in the 27xx region and
even when STI dropped to a low of 2680, I continue
to encourage the readers and Skypes users to buy.
Now at STI standing at 2885, I seriously wonder how
many had heed my advice and benefited lately.

Some users asked me whether this surge will continue
and for how long. Frankly, if you are technically trained,

Today is the last trading day of August and
what a month we have this year. It is really a
high-intensity roller coaster ride with stocks
plunging hard and rebounding equally hard
as well. Will this trend continue into the fresh
trading month of September? Things are beginning
to look brighter nowadays but just be viligant
and prepare for anything unforeseen circumstances.
For the record, I am actually holding the view that
we are going to have a fantastic Q4 this year
with good rally and finishing the year with a
grand finale and closing high on year-end.
Will I be right this time? We shall see.....

Interestingly, STX OSV is finally mentioned in the
newspaper today with the headline "Outlook for
offshore firms still buoyant". Keppel Corp and Semb
Marine was also mentioned together in the article,
we should know the significance of such peer relationship.

I am rather positive on STX OSV's prospect both on
the fundamental and technical ground and I have
been mentioning this stock for quite some times.
My head is also on the line as I stated that I am looking
for a 50% returns from a 1.1x buying price.
I believe my head will be intact baring any undesirable
happenings from the company or some countries.

It should be able to test the 1.39 resistance level very
soon and a breach of it will bring it face-to-face with
the next strong resistance at the 1.46 region.The chances
are looking good and I will look forward to it become
a reality with a trailing stop just in case.

A few readers emailed me asking whether we
will have a post-PE rally today and how will
market react to the elected President Dr Tony
Tan? My view is that the market will focus on
what is happening abroad and regional rather
than a domestic event such as PE. No big
impact will be detected today. If you want to
know who I voted for, well, I belongs to "the rest".

Given that tomorrow is a public holiday, I
believe that our market will be rather quiet and
will be range-bound trading today. I don't expect
to see huge swing today but just be prepared
for anything unexpected.

All eyes and of course all ears are on Fed
chairman Mr Bernanke tonight as to what is
the Fed's view on the US economy and whether
there will be another Quantitative Easing (QE3)
this time round. My personal view is there won't
be any concrete statement from the Fed and it
is likely that there is not going to be pushing out
a QE3.

It is going to be a really interesting trading day
as US markets pre-dropped in overnight trade
and I believe that we are going to feel the impact
today. Expect stocks to trade in narrow ranges
and if there is any flash sell-off, it is a good time
to pick up the bargains.

Today is the cooling-off day for the Presidential
Election and indeed it started off very cool as
there were heavy rain island-wide. As the readers
know, I don't like to talk politics in this blog but
I feel that I can't be that "cool" and need to voice
out my personal view on the PE. I feel that the
President need to be vocal, daring and compassionate
enough to speak out and address any concerns
from the ground rather than relaxing in Istana.
He shouldn't be just a symbolic figure with his
pictures all around the government agencies and
institutions. To sum it out, I don't want to see and
hear from the President only during public holiday
when the Istana is open to the public. I would like
to constantly see and hear from him regularly.

A reader told me yesterday that recently whenever
US indexes went up in overnight trade, the next day,
our market will suffer a sell-off. I look back at past
few trading session, and although she was not 100%
right but in some days, the market really performed
like what she stated. US is once again up in overnight
session, so how will our market react today?

It has been really highly volatile and irrational trading
nowadays with so much news, rumours, speculations
and expectations circulating on the ground and in the air.
I am still a net buyer at this time while waiting for the
Financial Armageddon to arrive, if it ever will be coming.
If you ask for my frank view, I will tell you that it will
not come, and all the gloom and doom is just temporary.
I maybe wrong with my so optimistic view, but I choose
to take it that the cup is half full, and I stand by my view
until Mr Market proves me wrong.

STX OSV suffered a profit-taking session yesterday and
closed at 1.325, a bid below the 1.33 support/resistance
level. Some readers asked me for either re-enter or
fresh enter price for the stock, and I replied them that
it is a good time to get in the 1.3x region. But take note
that it is a mid-term entry and not a contra or intra trade.

US market surged in overnight trade with the
Dow posting a 3% gain or 322 points, Nasdaq
also added 4.3% and S&P 500 gained 3.4%
Mr Bernanke will be making a key speech this
Friday and it seems like the market is having a
pre-major announcement rally right now.

Our market also performed very well yesterday
in anticipation of a strong performance in Wall
Street overnight. Many stocks surged through
the roof only to be brought back a couple of bids
before the closing bell.

Some readers want to know whether STX OSV
is still a Buy at this stage. I have been mentioning
this counter for a while now and my name is almost
synonym with STX OSV. I even sticked out my head
and give a 50% projection from the 1.1x price I bought
at which is about 1.70 with my target price. I continue
to like the stock but at this time, the stock had moved
about 30cts from the low and it should consolidate
or have a slight move-up to the next resistance around
the 1.46 level. It will have good supports in the 1.3x
and thus will be a good time to pick up the stock.
Do take note that Never fall in love with a stock, and
always have a trailing stop and cut-loss in place.

What a roller-coaster ride it had been yesterday
when many stocks price went through the high
and low and then high again. STX OSV was one
of them, having traded to a low of 1.325 in the
early morning, it reversed and surged to a day-high
of 1.395 then succumb to weakness back to around
1.33 support level only to surge once again when
the Europe market opened to close at 1.39, right
at the resistance level. I actually talked little about
the stock, as I believe that the readers already
know what is my view on the stock as I had sticked
out my head for this stock months ago. Thankfully,
my head is still with me and I don't think I will be
losing it in anytime.

Stocks are expected to trade in a tight range for these
days while waiting for clearer picture in the horizon.

are just stating their views and giving their predictions

the candidates' background and what they stand for,
and not to choose a symbolic figure again.

This is going to be a rather short blog this
morning as I have nothing unusual to report
and my view remains the same.

After reading all the doom-day reports in our
newspapers over the weekend, I have decided
to..................CONTINUE to BUY in such a
market situation. In fact, I hope that there is
panic selling on opening bell, and the index
will drop below 2700. This will be a great time
for me to do some shopping and bargain
hunting of the quality stock being sell-down
indiscriminately. What a day it is going to be!

I stated last week that if 2700 is breached, then
I am looking at the next support level at 2650.
I believe that the mid-long term investor will rush
in at the mentioned level and start picking up
stocks and that will really provide a good back-up
to any further weakness.

For those who are willing to take a risk in such a
uncertainty and volatile market condition, do take
note to have a longer investment horizon and
be prepared to ride out this storm.

Needless to say that it is going to be a
blood-flowing trading day, but is it going
to be another week of market turmoil the
following or is it going to be a short sell-off?
I believe that STI is definitely going to be
tested in the region of 27XX again and if
it is breached, the next meaningful support
level will be around the 2650 level. Can this
2650 level be broken as well? If there is still
great market uncertainty with all the doom
and gloom scary story about the global recession
then it is possible, but I believe that it will
be much contained this time round with all
the selling.

Frankly, I am going to continue to pick up
bargains in such time but I am not showing
hand at one shot for all the stocks, but I am
nibbling them bit by bit. I am still cautiously
optimistic that it is just a passing storm and
it will be back to normal all the damages are
done with. Stay in the sideline if you are comfortable
with the current market condition and sell your
bargains at a profits if you have picked up some
during last week 27XX trading day.

After the buying and selling frenzy last week,
the current trading week had been quite peaceful
and subtle, but still nevertheless volatile and
sentiment-driven. If you ask for my preference,
I definitely prefer a faster pace market action
with higher volume change-over and bigger
trading range being played-out. But that only me.

I am still very much in the market although the
position size of buying have been smaller than
last week, and yes, I have cleared off some contra
buying bought at low price last week and keeping
the rest as short-mid term investment. Most readers
should have gotten in stocks at quite low price
last week if they were willing to press the BUY button.

Current market condition is not a time to be gung ho
and showhand, but you can start by picking up some
good stocks having been battered down. The market
is moving in a typical after-a-massive-selldown scenario
with the bulls and bears still deciding when to strike.

Our market finally had a profit-taking session
yesterday and it was quite expected as I have
been telling the Skype members about it.
US indexes ended the trading day down and
although we have pre-moved before this fall,
it is looking like we are going to have another
volatile session today.

I am looking at whether the Dow will fall beyond
the 11350 support this time again and if it really
happens, alarm will be sounded. But for the time
being, I am not exactly over-concern yet as I know
that market situation is going to be highly volatile,
irrational, erratic and at times, unreasonable and
brutal to the market participants currently.

STX OSV fell from grace yesterday and I believe
it will test the 1.39 resistance level pretty soon with
strong backing at 1.33 support level. This is a stock
that had won good profits with many readers and
I believe that the day and night is still young for this
stock winner. I hope to achieve a personal milestone
by the end of the year, and I believe STX OSV will
provide me with all the essential assistance.

US indexes rose in overnight trade and Dow
is once again above the 11350 mark after
closing up 214 points to 11483. Take note
of the 11350 level if it it being tested on the
downside next time. There are reports that
this is just a market-oversold rebound which
is possible but I will just treat everyday as
a fresh trading day and wait for THAT day
to come.

STX OSV had another good trading yesterday
and it is very strange that there were no
mentioning of it in the Straits Times which is
not a bad sign too. ST is always concentrated
in the Blues and Property counters but
ignored winners like STX OSV. I have mentioned
before that one don't need to trade a lot of
counters if one can find winner stocks that
will deliver good returns. In the case of STX OSV,
I have been recommending it for a while,
and the result is for all to see. Like what LL said
in the comment, "It’s in fact a fantastic counter and
I guess one need only to concentrate on this counter
alone and there is good profit to be made."

The readers can recall that I stick out my head and
said that I am looking at 50% from the buying price
of 1.18-1.20 and due to the recent selloff, a couple
of readers and myself are able to get the stock at
a even more attractive price. And Yes, I am still looking
at a 50% returns from the stock. In fact, base on
the closing price of 1.39 yesterday, we are already
up about 20-25%. Some readers will take profits
within the contra period and this is a very respectable
profits in just a couple of days. While I know of readers
willing to pay-up and hold the stock for the short-mid
term for more returns from capital appreciation and
the 5cts interim dividend is also quite attractive too.
Frankly, I underestimated the real power of STX OSV
with its recent strong surge, and I gave a lower price
to a few of the Skype readers. It is OK, just let
Mr Market reveal the real potential of the stock.

What a week we had last week as the market
went into a whirlpool spin and stocks and
indexes went into a free-fall but recovered
as the week ends. There have been many
doom-and-gloom reports coming out in the
papers during the weekend and words can really
kill, that is killing any potential positive sentiment
that we are having now.

I still maintain my view that as long as the recent
low of 2720 is not breached, we should do fine
in the market although the future is not as bright
yet but it is definitely not as bleak as it seems.
Some readers I chat with in Skype had went into
various positions during last week's 27XX mega
sales and sitting on paper-profits now. A couple
of them are willing to pay-up for those position
and riding down up with a mid-term view while
others are taking profits on the contra position
when it reached their desired selling price.

I believe that the market will go into a consolidation
state and any market-sensitive action from abroad
may triggered off selling but do take note of the
2720 level. It is a critical support and frankly, I don't
think it will be tested but you may never know so
always expect the unexpected.

STX OSV, one of the always mentioned stocks
performed very well last week amidst major
weakness in other stocks. It announced financial
result on Saturday morning and it was a reasonably
well result. Many readers I know are vested in the
stocks and some at pretty low entry price. Will there
be sell-on-news today? I am still bullish on the stock
and believe that any dip with be a good chance
to pickup the stock, and with its interim dividend of
5cts acting as a good support, the future is bright.

As mentioned in earlier blog posting, I believe
that it is a very good time to buy as and when
STI is in the 27XX region, and I was proven
right yesterday. Some readers told me that
although they were prepared to buy when they
saw the index plunging in the early trading,
but they were over-awed and shocked at the
scale of the sell-down, and thus never take
action and miss a great buying opportunity.
Some readers however have too spolit for
choices that they cannot decide on what or
which stock to buy and eventually bought the
stock at slightly higher price or didn't get the
desired stock at the optimal price. There were
other skeptical readers who will wait for the
"perfect" time to go into the market, and for them
my advice is to continue to wait.

Many readers will wondered whether this is the
end of the selling and we are on the way back
to the 3000s. My personal view is that as long
as we don't see another low, that is even lower
than the 2720 we saw yesterday, we should be
pretty safe and sound. For the stocks too, the situation
is the same. As long as the yesterday day-low
is not breached again, the stock may have found
an near-term bottom. I believe that there are not
many analysts or market-watcher out there telling
people that a rebound will come in the 27XX and
is a good time to pick up stocks when it happens,
and I am willing to voice out my view on the market.
Those who believe me are rewarded with good buy
at reasonable price and sitting on profits now.
You can either choose to ride up the profits or
take profits if you feel that the coast is still not clear.
Regardless of your eventual action, do take note that
you definitely need to have trailing stop in such
a market sentiment.
